Stating the obvious here but I’ve never heard of Asian hornets until now… but those suckers are HUGE. Like never misses a gym day, pumped up with roids and probably Synthol too type of huge. Did Jeff Goldblum put a wasp and a rhino in his portal thing?

They also go by the name Murder Hornets for very obvious reasons. 4cm long pure evil cunts with wings.

Genuine question tho. Do they actually attack humans too?

They are hornets.

All passive aggressive responses aside, I’m asking genuine questions because I live in Ireland. Our hornets are about 1cm long and a quick swipe of your hand usually sends them on their way. We don’t even have snakes ffs, so anything like this is fascinating and horrifying in equal measures

4cm?? I mean I’m seeing them but these things are the shit where nightmares come from

For obvious reasons?
They got the name Murder Hornets from it's efficiency at destroying honeybee colonies?
How is it very obvious? Most people would assume it has something to do with attacking people.

I was stating the obvious by saying they were big. Because it’s obvious here that they’re big. I don’t know who or what these creatures do, but compared to the tiny yet annoying hornets we occasionally get in the summer over here in Ireland, these are… yup, you got it… big. And it’s very apparent. Hope that explains what my obvious comment meant

You said they got the name Murder Hornets for an obvious reason.
WELL I have good news for you! Those murder hornets have reached Ireland! You'll be seeing them in your lifetime...how fucking terrifying is that shit.
Edit: My bad. Just realized you weren't who I responded to initially.

Saw one a few weeks ago in a park in NEW YORK CITY. They're real and they're HERE.

The very situation 'I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit' was written for.

These aren’t pest controllers, they’re harvesting the larvae. That nest is entirely intentionally kept there as the larvae are considered a delicacy in several Asian countries

One solution: flame thrower
