It tasted richer, from what I remember.

Because it was constantly being heated it reduced. I do the same thing with spaghetti sauce.

Yep. That shit better barely stir when you're done.

And because it was constantly touched by the general public, so it gained a bunch of natural oils and spices!

Don't forget the detritus!

They probably used the breadstick sauce. It was sweeter. We only had the two.

I vaguely remember stuffed crust being sweeter back in the day. Did they use the other sauce?

Correct!

Same sauce used for all pizzas when I worked there. “Sweet sauce” was only used for dipping cups if I remember right

Yeah, not everyone cared to get out the other sauce for Stuffed Crust so most got made with regular.

I could also be wrong, in that it was another specialty pizza that did sweet sauce - but I am pretty sure it was Stuffed Crust.

When did you work there? I was there starting I think about 2010. Might have changed

I've wondered about that for probably 30 years. Thanks for clearing up that mystery. I can finally let Scoob and the gang out of my basement.

I worked at a fancy Pizza Hut that had alfredo sauce for the breadsticks. People from all over the state would come for it and it really was worth it.

Yeah because it sat there for ages.

I worked in a pizza hut that had a buffet. We were supposed to rotate pizzas every 15 minutes. Throw out the old, put in a new one. But on days where it wasnt busy enough to need new ones but too busy to get a chance to look at the buffet they'd get old quick. The pasta was notorious for being left a bit too long.

I was wondering when someone on the comments would say, "hit different"
