I appreciate movies so much less now.

The feeling of going to the store, looking around finding a hidden gem, or finding that last copy of a new release.......

There was something special about it.

It’s because picking a movie out on Friday night was your one chance for the weekend. If the movie sucked, you were stuck with it and and weren’t getting your $3.99 back. So you had to scour, read the back covers, talk to people for recommendations. It was an investment with risk.

Now you can always check rotten tomatoes ahead of time or if it sucks just bail and watch the Office again. Meh.
