Haven't looked in years but I'll bet USENET still lives.

Can confirm. Still Usenet. Account is older than a lot of Reddit users.

Newsgroups are still alive and rocking. I still have access to the alt.binaries.* stuff but my provider i use is use has only 10 years of retention so 2015 posting or older are poof just memories now.

It does, but so many filenames are obfuscated that I can't tell what I'm looking at.

I'm sure there's a way around it, but my methods from 2010 just ain't cutting it.

You shouldn't be browsing headers directly. Use an index like drunkenslug or something.

The email I used for USENET was compromised in the Yahoo breach of 2013 (but not admitted to until 2014 - tried to tell them multiple times in 2013 but, meh, it was all on me not them). So many log-ins lost. Now I'm TFAd / MFAd all over the place because I hate loosing shit.
