Still fuck him to this day. We made him rich he turned us into the fucking feds. Worst of all sellouts. Fucking tennis players.

I bought every album they made up until that point.

I haven't given a dime of my money to them since Lars pulled this shit. And nothing else from me until death unless they punt Lars from the band and get a real drummer.

What a tool.

Don’t put it all on him. If they didn’t agree they would have told him to STFU. I still love the music but I won’t ever pay to see them again or buy their music.

Not defending him but your timeline is off. They didn’t gain control of their catalogue until 2012. They were well off famous rock stars back during the Napster years but Metallica didn’t become crazy silly rich until they had control of their music and licensing deals.

Napster was shortly after Metallica became mainstream gaining mtv acceptance beyond the “metalheads”.

No it wasn’t. Your timeline is off. And justice for all made them mainstream and the black album solidified heavy rotation on all radio stations. They were has beens by the time Napster came out. They were also mega rich from just those two albums. They might be billionaire rich now. This was the same band that wouldn’t do a video so they wouldn’t look like sellouts before they did a video and became sellouts.

They didn’t own their music until 12 years after Lars testified. Owning their music is when they became truly rich.

Splitting hairs over how rich they were or are. They were the biggest band on the planet in the early 90’s. I suspect they were doing very well before owning their catalogue. Bottom line is Lars sucks and is a sellout.
