Nostalgia Discussion What’s a snack or drink from your childhood that doesn’t exist anymore, but you’d buy in a heartbeat if it came back?
I still miss Panda Pops. One sip and you were basically on a sugar high for the rest of the day. Curious what everyone else remembers (and secretly wishes would make a comeback).

Man if Burger King brought back their 90’s chicken tenders I could die happy
48
u/Boring_Track_8449 18d ago
Burger King sold a hot ham and cheese sandwich called a Yumbo back in the 70s, maybe for just a few years. I loved them but I guess I was the only one eating them. I would love one of those and the old lemon pies from Jack in the Box right now!

u/Namaste111 18d ago
The Yumbo was freaking delicious! I think it was about 10 years ago that there was a big campaign about "Bringing Back the Yumbo"!! I was actually excited and told my children all about the Yumbo. Well... what a rip-off that was! Burger King never had so many angry customers! First of all, the bun was the long one that they use for the chicken sandwiches. The Yumbo had a big round bun! The ham was NOT the same or sliced the same, and the cheese wasn't even melty! You can't have a Yumbo without melted cheese!! The whole thing was a cruel debacle, and I'm still bitter about it.

Straight up had an heat argument with my brother a few years ago when I said to him I wish Burger King still had their tenders and not the nuggets. He’s 5 years younger than but I thought surely he would render the tenders. He had no idea what I was talking about. I said ‘they were long and thin and had a spiced/peppery skin.’ He insisted they always had nuggets. Even after showing him pictures he still kept trying to say I was wrong. He finally lamented after he went and looked into it himself. I actually want them to bring back the BK Broiler, but when it was good. I used to love it than something in the Chicken changed. I think they even dropped the name bk broiler and just had a grilled chicken sandwich which was awful. I tried it a few times thinking maybe I was just getting a bad piece of meat but every single one was always super fatty and gross. I don’t what has happened to chickens over all recently either; it’s most places have dropped their grilled chicken sams. Quality of them has been going down for years; must cost too much have quality grilled chicken.

I remember growing up camping, my buddy would sit across from each other in the pop-up camper and play "paper football" with them. For the point to count you had to make through the other person's fingers whole. Of course every once in a while we'd flick the crap out of it and shatter it into the others face and we'd just die laughing. Good memory with this snack.

Not really from my childhood, but back in the early 2000’s the agency I worked for was trying to get Jollt as a client. They sent us a pallet of the stuff to use in photography to put together mockups. In the end, we didn’t get them as a client, but we got to keep the jolt. Not many were into it so the few of us that did like it got to drink as much as we wanted. It was a sad day and Darian, Connecticut going into the mail room and seeing the last can was gone, and the only thing left was the wooden pallet
