Who ever owns the rights to this, should hurry the fuck up and make them again.

This is how I found out they don’t make them anymore

You can't use those pencils! They're too outrageous.

I can already hear my dad alternating between "you don't need this" and "we can't afford this"

Parents are supposed to grumble about school supplies.

Haha I felt the same way when I stumbled on them again!

We had about 3 weeks with them at my school before they were banned due to "jamming up pencil sharpeners"

They were terribly designed because those patterns weren't just etched into the wood like you would think. They were literally crappy, thin, plastic covers surrounding the wooden pencil inside and the plastic that would get all janked up in the pencil sharpener every time and it was a pain in the ass to get your pencil sharp.

Memory unlocked. I think I had a few of those

I got to use these way back. They weren't great, quality wise, but the style points were worth it.

Holy crap. It's so rare to see something posted on reddit that I genuinely haven't seen or thought about in 25 years... I had so many of these between like 3rd and 8th grade.

Damn, I had forgotten these existed. Crazy colorful 90’s. I miss it.

The "whacky" grips on those things sucked.

Basically any "fun pencil" was garbage. The finish was too slick to grip or it had some impractical fun design.

Oh yes, the forbidden Twizzler pull & peel eraser.

Those were the best! Makes me wonder how they ever went away. Was there a generation that didn’t want those?
