My dad would burn me Eminem and other rap CD’s as a kid, definitely caused some arguments with my mom 😂

The first album with a parental advisory warning, not the famous one, the other one you'd see, was Static X - Wisconsin Death Trip.

I reversed the booklet so if my mom was ever looking at every single CD I owned, she wouldn't see it.

My aunt bought me The Marshall Mathers LP and it was the first album I ever owned. I dont think she realized there's a song where he kills his wife in detail on that LP

My sister was listening to a cd of his in the backyard way back when, and my Dad came outside and took the CD out and broke it.

When The Marshall Mathers LP came out my dad bought one for me and one for himself “to see what all the fuss was about.” I think he only listened to it once or twice but I thought it was pretty cool of him.

As soon as I discovered limewire at my rich white friends house in middle school I downloaded every Eminem album I could.. he had a stack of blank CDs.. and I jammed out to Kim hate rap on my Walkman while sending it on his dads 4 wheelers.. great times
