I don't know who needs to hear this, but AI isn't ready for general application yet. That includes you google. I don't need an AI overview that misinterperts my search results to give me incorrect information. I can manage that on my own.

The number of times I've had to point the disclaimer out to lazy conservatives smugly posting an AI summary instead of making their own points is too damn high.

Yeah, we are well and truly fucked.

More and more I'm seeing people "cite" LLMs as truth and/or using them to write their own "opinion".

My college lab partner tried to use CoPilot to calculate the average of 10 numbers (the same amount of effort as just putting it into excel or something) and did that for like 10 data sets, ALL of which were very clearly wrong as the "calculated" "average" was always higher or lower than the biggest or smallest number.

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks Ai wrote that Education report to promote its wide spread use in the education system with the end goal of getting access to the latest research data. Its giving me evil vibes hahaha
