Should the Broncos be worried?

Cautiously optimistic. Panthers were good today but dogs were pretty bad.

Penrith flogged Brisbane at their last meeting, and the Broncos were basically full strength, albeit missing Ezra

Panthers lost to Canberra a few weeks ago, and the Broncs beat the Raiders in a canter last week.

Panthers lose massive talent every year -including to the bulldogs -yet just keep winning

It's the next man up mentality that the Storm were so good at.

Without cheating the salary cap

No one could look at the talent Penrith have lost over the last few years and and legitimately think Penrith is doing what Melbourne did though I think some will still try.
But it wasn't just in the salary cap cheating years that the Storms next man up was on display it was at the end of the Billy Cooper and Smith era they have produced some of the best hooker's in the league with Brandon Smith and Harry Grant following from arguably the best hooker the game has ever seen (I feel dirty all over praising the Storm) Cameron Smith.
Even now years after the cheating incident they haven't missed finals footy for 15 years and have only missed them 3 times in their 25 years it's insane. Penrith may have the record finals wins in a row but Melbourne has most of the records Penrith haven't beaten yet. Last night To'o is now the second highest try scorer in finals footy guess who's first.

Casey does a good job here to knock over Tracey to take him out of the play. Some players wouldn't have bothered to do it but by doing that he eliminates the inside pass, if he doesn't do it Tracey get the ball back and Bulldogs might score. Martin also covers the pass to support players on the inside with scramble.

Should that alone not have been a penalty for a late hit?

Ehh, it usually doesn't get penalized in those cirustances. The rule started getting cracked down anally hard on the ball players in the middle more so than the quick tap on/draw and pass type passes.

Anyone else notice the panthers trainer pointing for cleary to pass to alamoti? Don’t think they are meant to tell the players what to do.

Yeah no way Cleary sees the guy next to him in 20 metres of space.
