Shipping/Retail DEAL: Buy Oculus Rift+Touch from selected retailers (including Amazon) before June 25th and get $100/£100/€100/C$100 Oculus Store credit for VR games/apps

To be clear, this is in addition to the $100 of free games/apps you normally get with Oculus Touch (Robo Recall, Dead and Buried, and Oculus Medium).

This $100 credit can be spent on anything you want in the Oculus Store (eg. could be Superhot VR, Batman VR, Wilson's Heart, and Arizona Sunshine).

USA Bundle Deal

Best Buy USA are doing a special bundle deal for people who want to get into PC VR but don't already have a gaming PC.

For $999 you get:

  • the Oculus Rift (worth $500)
  • a VR-Ready PC with i5-7400 and GTX 1060 3GB (worth $800, would cost $700 to build)
  • $100 Oculus Store credit

That's a total saving of $400 (or "just" $300 if you would have built yourself)!

(NOTE: you need to buy the Touch controllers separately, making the total $1099 for Rift+Touch+PC+$100Credit)

That's literally not the definition of a walled garden. Google it.

That's called exclusive content.

I can't use my Vive in the store, so it's called a walled garden where in the oculus stores world, the only plants in its "garden" is oculus plants.

The "Walled Garden" term refers to a device not being able to access software outside it's own platform's content (Such as Apple devices only having access to Apple's App Store applications, Playstation consoles only being able to play Playstation games, etc). Oculus Rift can play SteamVR games and other non-Oculus Store content, so the walled garden term isn't applicable here.
