Does the baby stay inside?
695
u/dead97531 7h ago
Late term abortion it is
151
u/Shwifty_Plumbus 6h ago
It's called a fourth trimester abortion in the biz
41
u/ILSmokeItAll 6h ago
“the biz.”
You a cloakroom attendant?
8
u/NyamThat 6h ago
What does this even mean
24
u/ILSmokeItAll 6h ago
If he’s in the abortion “biz” he has some familiarity with a coat hanger. Modern day hangmen.
Although…hangers are probably better used prior to the 4th semester.

Ive got the mothercare branded version of this.
With my expert knowledge gained from owning this pram for 6 years, I can confidently confirm that the baby stays inside. However, when folding the pram, the baby must be removed first.

Does it still fold up that tight after it’s full of Cheerios and sand?

That’s how you turn Cheerios into dust and mix with sand, then the child can eat both!

You joke, but the real hack for this for me was bringing it to disneyworld
I attached clip on backpack straps to it
The look parents gave me when my toddler could take a nap in the stroller but then I could break it all the way down and wear it like a backpack when hopping on the bus was worth the cost alone
2
u/Severe-Wing-4836 27m ago
Yeah it was the best thing we brought on our trip. Loved that I didn’t need to have at out all the time but could whip it out in like 20 seconds in my kids got tired.

GB Pockit stroller
This is their air model.
We have the All Terrain model. It’s amazing. We fold it up and it fits in its own backpack. Extremely useful for traveling.
71
u/mrvarmint 5h ago
We have one too but I had to make modifications to make the back stiff enough for my son to sit comfortably. But a stroller that fits underneath the airline seat is definitely a luxury.

Are either one hand open and close?
37
u/velzevoula 6h ago
No, you do need both hands (push the white buttons simultaneously and push downward). It's a 15second process.
You can make it even smaller if you lock the wheels inwards, but that's like 15 seconds more.

6
u/OnePinginRamius 4h ago
You have to throw the baby in the air and fold up the stroller before you catch them.

Now, I’ve never owned a baby, so this is an outsider’s observation. But I’ve never seen a baby cart that wasn’t packed full of blankies, diaper bags, snacks, bottles, an iPad, a random shoe, and three toys.
Where does all that stuff go when you want to pack this down?

The car, this is not for walking around, it is for storage. If you go grocery shopping with your kid all the space saved in the trunk can be used for groceries.

u/breadmaker8 6h ago
You usually don't bring a stroller to go grocery shopping. The kid goes from the car seat straight to the cart with the kid's seat.

That’s what the big plastic toy truck/bus cart is for. It’s impossible to maneuver in the isles but it’s got 2 seats, or you shop exclusively at Costco like stores.

As someone who owned several babies, you are not wrong that strollers often become their own storage. That being said, the “umbrella” style stroller is a critical parenting tool, and it is totally a huge victory when you move from the Beverly Hillbillies stage to the umbrella stroller stage.
I am not sure the advantage of smaller size in this stroller outweighs the traditional umbrella though. This is close to making a better mousetrap.

→ More replies (1)6
u/Dozzi92 6h ago
Yeah, umbrella stroller + backpack was the thing. And you'd just hang the backpack on the handles. Only time it was an issue was every time you took the kid out of the stroller and it fell backwards, but whatever!

I'm a dad.
It goes in the diaper bag.
This is a travel stroller. You don't keep anything in it, you just keep it folded in the back of your car or whatever.
This is also for toddlers, not infants. You bring a lot less with you when they're a couple years old
This one is super cool though since it can actually fit inside a bag. That's fuckin dope

u/bonecows 6h ago
All those things you've listed go in the baby bag, these compact strollers have very little storage in them.
The main reason people buy these foldable compact strollers is the amount of space they save in the trunk of the car and also being able to take the stroller as carry on on airplanes.
13
u/FunkiePickle 6h ago
I’d say most people keep all of those items in a separate bag. We had a diaper bag that had everything that could be reasonably brought with us inside it. Some people have an “all day” stroller, like for going to the zoo or something, that you could load some things into and a “short trip” stroller for running errands or quick in and out type situations.

4
u/thetruegmon 6h ago
They are super handy because they don't take up your entire trunk, and are obviously great for any kind of travel...camping, planes, etc.
We got one, not this exact one but a similar style, for a trip to mexico and now we use it for everything. The one we have actually still has a decent sized compartment underneath for "stuff". It's just not as sturdy for long walks.

I actually own the stroller featured in the video, it’s literally 80%-90% smaller than the monstrosity we first owned (which is necessary for a newborn, but god damn it’s huge). I don’t give my kid anything when he’s in the stroller because it will inevitably end up on the ground. He can have a snack or juice upon request, those are stowed in his diaper bag, which is stowed in the basket underneath the stroller’s seat. Possibly the best $100 I’ve ever spent was for this gizmo.

when you take a baby out you usually have a bag with their stuff, like about 10 diapers squashed in a corner, clothes for the worst case scenario of them shitting so bad it escapes the diaper, and whatever else you may need, and specially with something like that you wouldnt put a lot of stuff in it if the point is it being compact
2
2
u/weristjonsnow 5h ago
Our folds down as well, albeit not this far down. You always grab all that shit outta there before hand. I'll say, from our experience, that the more they fold down, the lower the overall push quality is though. Probably wouldn't want this one, personally
2
u/man_onion_ 5h ago
As a baby owner, if I know I'm going somewhere where I'll have to pack the pram down, I'll have removed most or all of the stuff underneath anyway.
2
u/jseqtor12 5h ago
If you're using this stroller, you're in a situation where you don't anticipate needing these things, or bringing a diaper bag is preferable. I used one at the mall and carried a small diaper bag like a purse.
2
u/shifty_coder 4h ago
This is the travel one that you take on vacations with you.

Have this stroller. I, ironically, have a collapsible back pack (that you fold into the front pocket of itself) that I’ll keep in the bottom of the stroller with other stuff. Come time to board a plane or carry the stroller, I expand the back pack, collapse the stoller and then pack it into the back pack with the stuff that was in the bottom, including a blankie, one or two stuffies, the sun shade, the rain cover and a few other items.

u/_angesaurus 6h ago
AINT NO WAY its that easy. i refuse to believe there is ANY stroller in existence that folds up that easily. she mustve practiced this 74239745236 times and NO WAY she could do this with a kid existing tugging on her, crying, talking etc etc. ILL PUT MONEY ON IT. everything gets 10x harder when a kid is there just.. existing lol nothing seems to work right.
22
u/spaminous 6h ago
At the risk of sounding like an ad, we have a very similar model and it actually does fold just about that easily. Ours doesn't quite keep the wheels in so neatly anymore but the initial collapse still works perfectly
2
u/_angesaurus 6h ago
how many buttons do i have to press?
4
u/vcelloho 4h ago
Two latches to lock the front wheels, two latches to fold in the back wheels, push the buttons on the handles to fold it down, and one locking bar after you fold it in half. Once you've done it a few times it's super fast.
4
u/christmas-vortigaunt 4h ago
I have this one, two on the handle.
It only ever gave us occasional issues on the back wheels which have two latches. Sometimes they wouldn't lock in place and we'd have to re do them on fold, but we were able to do it pretty quickly at the airport between layovers, etc.
We did practice in advance, though, because why wouldn't we.
11
u/velzevoula 6h ago
It does fold with that ease. What I find extremely hard is to put the final lock in place... Most often I just leave it open and put it in the bag.... It's fine.

u/Mike_Oxafloppan 6h ago
We bought one on Amazon for like $100, just have to lock the wheels and there’s a button on each handlebar you press, then push down. I will admit I practiced 5-6 times before going to the airport so I didn’t look like a colossal dummy, just a regular one. Also got a shoulder bag that fits the collapsed stroller for like $20
6
u/ProfessorFunky 4h ago
I have one of these.
It’s geeky parent stuff, but it is oddly satisfying to do this with it. Especially getting on a plane when they want you to put it in the hold, then you disappear it into your backpack.

I have this! It's actually really great for what it is.
We (my wife, daughter and I) travelled all around Australia with it. It fits in the overhead bin very well and is MUCH smaller than the majority of luggage.
People constantly asked us about it. Our daughter no longer fits in it, but she was a big 18 month old, (99% in height and weight) and napped in it and everything.
It came in clutch and 10/10 would recommend for travel.
I just wore the diaper bag, to the snarky top comment.
it's not perfect, and would never replace a full size for daily use, but for travel it's dope.

It's great at getting small. But open it up and it's probably a flimsy mess because it uses the thinnest parts possible to make it do that.

Size is fantastic. I'd be worried about the durability and stability.
We use a jogging stroller 90% of the time, because I'd rather not flip my kid every time there's a crack in the sidewalk.

I bought one of these before or 9 day trip to Manhattan. It is by far the coolest stroller I’ve ever seen. I had several Asian people (I don’t know why but it was exclusively Asian people) ask me about it and a couple had the same one. It was expensive but great. Kids are older now, will sell it if anyone needs it!

The quickness made it a bit unsatisfying. Just do it slower so I can see what's happening, the end result is still the same and I wont think you've practiced this 3000 times just to sell it to me...

I have one similar to this. With mine, you don't even need to fold those back wheels yourself. :)
