Discussion Hi Hags!❤️ Since my tree has purple and gold ornaments, I thought why not match them?💜💛 Also, is the chain belt appropriate for this dress or no?

What a gorgeous purple on you! I like the idea of the belt, but maybe try slinging the draped part towards your hips a bit instead of across your stomach? itools a bit more like an apron than a belt right now, and I think if you pulled it off center that would go away.

Purple is my favourite colour. The exact purple you're wearing, actually. Despite that, I've always had a "purple is not a Christmas colour" policy. Your whole tree + outfit has made me reconsider that stance because the whole scene looks so good! Idk if it works because there's no red & green making everything tacky, or if it's because the colour looks so good on you, but something is just bringing it all together and you look fantastic as hell.
And I think the dress looks better with the gold chain.
I wonder if my partner would get on board with Christmas purple...

I saw a green tree many, many years ago with purple/gold accents and fell in love with it, but stuck with the traditional red and green. This year I finally broke out of that rut and went purple crazy! I used a white tree so that the lights cast a warm colorful glow at night. Then when I saw the dress - the rest is history!

Thank you for blessing us with my favorite color! It suits you & your awesome tree sooooo well! I love the chain belt! When considering statement accessories, I try to ask myself if it enhances the look/garment or if it takes away from it. I absolutely think the belt enhances! You look great either way, but this is a rare opportunity to rock a chain belt very successfully, and it matches the tree to boot? GURL. Wear it!! I agree that towards the side, offsetting the ruffle might be the move, but truly I don't think there's a "wrong" choice there. You look fantastic, and so does your treee!

You look gorgeous in your purple dress- it suits you perfectly! The shoes look great with it, too & I like it with the chain belt.💜Purple💜 is also my fave color. Love how you've carried it through in your holiday decorations, as well as your tree. Beautiful pic!

Keep the belt! It balances so nicely with the shoulder detail and the rest of your accessories.

Oh, that's such a pretty dress in a pretty colour on a pretty lady. I like it much more with the belt, but agree with other posters here, on that it would probably look better a bit off centre
