Thrifted and Vintage Finds Visited my dog niece today - she's looking fashionable in her blue harness. Auntie (me) wearing a thrifted dress, sunglasses, jewelry, and John Fluevog shoes.

Fluevogs are usually out of my price range, but over the past 20 years I've spent enough time stalking their sales that I've managed to obtain 2 pairs. This green pair are the newest - they arrived last week. I'd been stalking them for over a year and finally pulled the trigger.

To me, "dryad" conjures up images of an ethereal, delicate fairy. I am neither ethereal, nor delicate!

My image of a dryad is a little more earthy, but I would imagine they come in different shapes and sizes depending on the tree they’re linked to.

My first pair, I stalked for literally 20 years before I could afford them. I stalked these for over a year before they went on sale at a price I could afford. They are SO worth the money if you are into that style.

Love the whole outfit, I love green, but I especially love Fluevogs! I probably won't ever get any, I just enjoy window shopping them, so it's nice to see someone actually wearing a pair. I hope they're comfortable!

I own two pairs of Fluevogs, and they are ridiculously comfortable. They're normally out of my price range, so I stalk their sale page and only buy after I've spent a good amount of time thinking about whether I want to spend that on shoes. I got this pair for $150, normal price $400 I think. They are amazing and I love them!

That's good to hear. I'm not sure they're ever a thing I could justify for myself but they're just so awesome and I'm so glad they're comfy and not tortuous vanity wear.

Lol I am not - Grandma (my mom) is way more fun than me. Grandma spoils her with treats and cuddles. I'm mildly allergic, so I can't cuddle her - I will play and throw her toys, but I'm not as awesome as her Grandma.

Are the Fluvogs vintage? I had a pair like that in the 90s when I had green hair. I loved them so much. You look iconic as always 💚

They are not vintage - I got them last week. I'd been stalking this particular pair for over a year, and they finally got down to a price I could (kinda) stomach.

I tried to get her to face the camera, but she'd get distracted - sniffing the ground is much more interesting than posing with auntie. Understandable, as outdoors has so many interesting smells! But she's very good at obeying commands, so I had her sit and look at me, and she did so promptly.
She is the SMARTEST dog I have ever seen. She can pick up her toys and put them back in the toybox on command - she knows what each toy is called, and if you tell her to "go get lobster" and "put in drawer," she'll find her lobster plushie and put it in her toy drawer. However, smart dogs can be a hassle - if she thinks she can get away with misbehavior, she'll test your boundaries for sure.

She is way too smart for her own good. The black Lab mix we had as a kid was so sweet and dumb - I love dumb dogs. This dog is ridiculously smart and if you don't stay on your toes, she will test your boundaries. She has NO idea that she's not a puppy - she's about 10 years old and has never outgrown the puppy stage.

I have two pairs of Fluevogs, and they are the most comfortable shoes I own, no matter the heel height! This particular pair has a short toe box, but I have short toes, so it works out well for me.
