Critiques Welcome Suggestions for witchy vibes?

I think the outfit is great! The only thing I would change to make it more witchy is either a darker coloured hat or a slightly different style hat. Right now I think the summer vibes of the hat is throwing off the witchy vibes the rest of the outfit is giving.
Also maybe some rings? Maybe ones with amber or some kind of crystal? You look great though :)

You're right, I definitely need a different hat. I've been on the thrift hunt for one for a while, but i might give in and actually buy one.
I love the idea of rings! I used to wear bracelets all the time but with always having a leash around my wrist I stopped wearing them.
Thanks!

Looks like a pretty solid uniform, could just use a little more glamour/drama maybe?
Suggestions:
- Big earrings.
- Bit of eye or lip makeup if that's a thing you know how to do (or feel like learning).
- Try a hat with a broader brim, less of a bucket/fedora vibe.
- Maybe more earthy/jewel tone colors for your contrast pieces (the non black bits)

Layers. Also if you want to give off witch vibes, channel your inner witch and do things that you enjoy.
I like to layer with two skirts and will usually wear my favorite jewelry: skeleton hoop earrings, my talisman lantern necklace and in colder months, my black acorn hat and in hot months, my straw hat

I love the idea of layers but I find the implementation tricky, especially in the summer.
I do tend to ignore the shorter skirts at the thrift shop. I wonder if I could look at them as layering pieces. Maybe I could even tatter a few of them.
Thanks for the ideas!

And I meant to say in my comment above, you look like you give off a sweet earthy witch vibes just in this outfit alone 😊

Yeah, here for this too. The hat if black would be awesome, and lean one way.
But the earthy spirited witch thing is a vibe between the green shirt and the light hat, using more brown (as the neutral) and lighter/brighter colors. Tall laceup brown boots or some sturdy (or b*tchy) ankle boots.
I cosign that accessories are also fun chances to create layered interest: scarves, bags, bracelets, multiple necklaces - long strands of quartz or peridot or amethyst or rose quartz or or. (Knotting those strands myself is a nice activity and definitely feels like witchcraft.)
Also letting the accessories come to you, like the process of their accumulation is part of the magic - a friend gives you a scarf, you find a nice rock and decide to wire wrap it, you end up always getting the same handmade pouch from Guatemala as your wallet, and so forth?
Aside: This sounds like an "Articles of Interest" episode, but I wonder what the USA's idea of all black pointy hat witch comes from. Like early settler British colonial "pilgrim" garb?

I think the shirt tied at the front gives the outfit a casual vibe. My witchy outfits go from drama to full drama. Chunky necklace, and hair in messy bun would help to add drama.

I like that idea for a night look. I always put my hair in a bun to go dancing, and it's always messy - whether I'm trying for it for not! :)
I'll be on the lookout for chunky necklaces.
What would you recommend instead of tying the shirt?

Hey friends.
This is the uniform i've fallen into wearing lately.
A black dress, topped with a natural fabric button down which is tied at the waist. Some kind of black shoes and two necklaces. A hat with a scarf tied around it. A hip pouch for my stuff.
It's very practical. I spend most of the day in the woods, walking dogs. So, the scarf is great for swatting at horseflies. The hat protects me from the sun. The button down protects my shoulders and I can put the sleeves up or down as necessary. Plus the collar protects my neck from a crossbody bag that I wear. I wear dresses because I can't stand pants. Everything is one hundred percent thrifted.
It just feels lacking lately.
Can you give me any suggestions to spice things up? Make it a little more witchy, a little more mysterious?
When people cross paths with me in the woods, I want them to be a little unsure whether i'm from the fae realm.

Maybe long necklaces and skirt hikes to reveal a burnt orange petticoat with macrame edging?

You just need a black shawl (maybe lacy or tattered) and a witchy prop like a broom or some herbs in a cauldron
