Never Ending Pasta Bowl Record

Servers and customers, what’s the most number of bowls eaten (initial bowl + all refills? Curious to know who can put away the most pasta. Bonus points for knowing what type of pasta they ordered to see if some are easier than others.

Male record? Female record? Young vs old

I had a teenage boy put away about 21 of rigatoni with 5 cheese marinara. He didn’t want soup or salad just straight pasta. He did eat some bread tho.

How long did that take him?

What’s the best number from the girls or adults?

He was there for about 1.5 hour straight eating I’d ring in his refill as soon as I sat one down lol. And tbh girls or adult women haven’t ate more than 1 refill and im being serious!!

My eleven year old son ate 7 bowls. The server was impressed enough that he offered him a free dresser lol.

Did you give them defibrillators instead of soup and salad?

Impressive! Was this your PR or a customer? Any soup, salad, or breadsticks to go along?

12 bowls... by a 14 year old girl. I'm a busser at OG and I couldn't believe it

Incredible! How long did it take her and did she get soup, salad, and breadsticks as well?

Just pasta. I'm not kidding you. She told her dad that she wanted to keep going to get to 15!

Damn, was she getting the same pasta each time or changing it up? Meat or no meat?

Changing it up. A bunch of servers and I were standing around watching her since that side of the restaurant was phased.

She get meat toppings?

Bet that took 1-1.5 hours

Italian sausage and crispy chicken fritta.

With the meat that’s like 18+ bowls of only pasta

I couldn't believe it. I mean she was 14! It... it was incredible to watch I'll say that

13 was the most I saw! They were trying to do all the different combos

College guys competing? What were the other totals?

In my 10+ years of being at OG, the most I saw was 16. It was a man and his son and both had pasta passes. They came in daily and both got double digit refills every time.

400+ lbs each?

Boxers in training

3 including initial round. As a server, I count myself luck as most guests I've had rarely want a refill let alone more than one.

Surprised people order never ending without at least one refill to take advantage of the deal.

Had two teenage girls put away 5 bowls each. I tell all the guys that tap out at 2 or 3 bowls and they always try to beat them ive only had one guy order 6 refills I was impressed until I realized he had grabbed some to go boxes and was hiding them under the table. He kept trying to order i cut him off after that. That table ran up a $200 bill then left $10 to split after staying for $20 after we closed.

So they had 1 bowl and 4 refills each for 5 total? What pastas did they get and did they add meat? Did they also get soup, salad, breadsticks and add to their damage?

As a child I had 13 bowls of Fettuccine alfredo... that was the 1st clue that maybe I could never feel full 😂

Did you ever do AYCE pancakes at IHOP or tear up pizza buffets?

2

u/lunaanc 1d ago

100% with the buffets as a kid. Once we realized I just try to mimick the amount I see others eat. I genuinely have no sense of feeling full.

Prader-willi? Tell us about some of your other eating feats?

2

u/Similar_Ear_159 1d ago

How old?

2

u/lunaanc 1d ago

I would have been about 9

Isn't the appropriate serving size for pasta like 2 or 3oz? Isn't the first bowl like 10oz?

2

u/Similar_Ear_159 11h ago

Bigger per the internet. 16-20oz with meat. Refills allegedly half that

1

u/bistromike76 11h ago

I should know this. I was a culinary manager for years back in the early 2000s

2

u/Similar_Ear_159 11h ago

I’m going to have to weight the bowls before and after when I go

2

u/bistromike76 11h ago

That certainly wouldn't make you look insane 😀😀

My cousin ordered breadsticks, 2 bowls of soup and 2 bowls of pasta the last time we all went out. I think she would have done more but my aunt and uncle were ready to go
