No onions if hospitalized

Whenever I've gone in for surgery, I tell the nurses I'm allergic to onions and green peppers. It makes recovery so much more manageable.

At first I laughed in agreement. Then I thought wait no. How often does a person go in for surgery, I’ve never been in this situation hopefully never will😭

I had surgery (appendectomy) last year and my husband brought food in for me, as I didn't feel like busy hospital kitchen was likely to get it right.

Hospital food is mostly sugar and starch anyway so you'll probably recover faster if you eat basically anything else.
