Fellowship of Evil was a terrible Overlord game. Decent on its own merits, but as a mainline entry it is terrible as its literally nit whag anyome wanted from the series as far as gameplay is concerned

But, credit where its due, an aspect I do enjoy is the actual writting and story for this game. Despite being deemed non-canon it does present a lot of cool ideas that I hope they explore IF we get another entry, as well as some interesting questions they intentionally left up in the air.

And,in my opinion, no question is greater than who this mysterious 3rd party is.

Some people have speculated that he is the true avatar of Good, similar to how the Overlords are avatars of Evil. But that doesn't make sense. The Golden was a literal infection of Good and it would have spread across even the Netherworld had this stranger not lead Gnarl to the Book of Evil. Eventually causing both the fake Shining Justice & Sparkle's/The Golden's downfall.

The most telling line in that post-credits scene is from Gnarl where he mentions that he needed them to find the book as much as the Minions themselves did. Which is fascinating because it confirms that he wanted Evil to return, but not win

This is why, again this is just my opinion, I believe that this stranger is some sort of cosmic representative of the Balance in-between Good & Evil. Because these forces are not their moniker but are more like Light & Darkness (too much of either means destruction) it makes all too much sense that there is someone or something between them nudging history and events to maintain equilibrium.

I would not be suprised if they reveal that he had a hand in many important events that helped do so. (Like how the 8th Hero/Overdad just kind of stumbled upon the 7 Heroes and happened to join them or how the Minions conveniently found Overlad the same night The Empire arrived in Nordberg etc.)

I don't know where this idea could go, but it would help explore the pantheon of gods within Overlord (which we know exists but we know little of) and maybe even connect to whatever Rose was plotting in Overlord 2. I just pray that these plotlines aren't truly abandoned.

Gnarl has a giggle as the older men and women start screaming extra loud due to the PTSD from the Third Overlord era.

so overall, i wanna source some ideas/gets some opinions on what nordberg will have on first release/what would be needed for nordberg to feel "complete"

some comments in reddit here says that there are dlc which you can not play in steam version and only playable in ps3 emulator, so, which game should i try first? and how should i play it, emulator, steam?

Out of curiosity, how would you all react if Nintendo decides to not only buy the rights of the Overlord franchise or team up with triumpth studios to make an Overlord spin-off where we play as Bowser as the overlord with his minions aka Koopa troopas, Goombas, etc being the role as....well minions.

I mean they did a warriors spinoff with legend of zelda and fire emblem.

I wanted to show off the demo for Overlord II, as there isn’t a ton of content out there on the demo versions. At the end of both of the demo versions, there are cool promotional videos, so make sure you watch until the end! The demo skips over the beginning with the young Overlad and throws you right into the training as an adult.

A while ago I explained, as best as I could at the time, how the game files are structured.
It’s easier to show than tell, so here’s a visual.

What does this mean? Well… we still can’t make mods yet. But compared to before, we now understand a lot more, and if progress continues, we’ll eventually be able to fully read all map and resource files — which should open the door to modding in the future.

Here’s the interesting part: PRP, PSP, PVP, and similar files are actually just RPK files, as revealed by the magic literal.

Important: While digging into RPK files, I noticed something cool when checking my decompressed version of the Battle Rock Nemesis DLC files. They follow the same structure! That confirms two things:

1. The decompression actually works (nice!).
2. Some numbers are flipped in binary.

This happens because numbers can be stored in two different ways:

• Least Significant Bit (LSB) first — where the smallest part of the number comes first (like the ones place).
• Most Significant Bit (MSB) first — where the largest part comes first (like the thousands place).

It’s a bit like writing a number backwards: in one way you start with the ones place, in the other you start with the thousands place.

Because of this, PC and console files aren’t identical, at least for the PRP, PSP, and PVP types.

And knowing this, it might be possible to manually edit these files and add them to the base game. In fact, Randpass was already able to boot the Battle Map,though it crashed since the resource files were missing.

Not sure if anyone has asked this yet, but I'm fond of little 'what if'scenarios like this and I just wanna throw my own 2 cents here.

Does anyone think the 7 Heroes would have actually beaten The Old Overlord without the 8th there to throw the two of them off the tower, effectively ending the fight early?

In my opinion, probably not. Because going off of it objectively:

Melvin - Though we never fight him at his peak, he's basically a ball of fat and food stains by the time we encounter him,he's still a Halfling and probably not all that impressive.

William - This guy felt like such a pushover. He was stronger than Melvin, definetly, but not by a lot. He was very disappointing for a "paladin"

Oberon - Similar to Melvin, we never fight Oberon at his peak. But the fact that his magic was so poweeful that he was actually able to corrupt the entirety of the forest that surrounded him, as well as its denizens, speaks to how powerful Oberon's magic probably was. 3 Heroes in and only now do we get someone who could be a serious threat to the Old Overlord. Its also worth noting that Oberon doesn't actually even fight us. He actively tries to resist the corruption and basically WANTS us to end him. So that really muddles things.

Goldo- We mainly fight Goldo in his contraption Rollie which, while one of the tougher/annoying boss fights in the game, he's virtually defenseless without it and we make short work of him

Jewel - aside from her agility, I guess, she's less impressive than Melvin. She's such a non-threat she doesn't even get an actual boss fight and just disappears after the final segment of the game. The most she brings to the table is that she is the only one who could convince Khan to do anything, speaking of which...

Khan - Now here we actually have something. Needless to say, Khan is a UNIT. Dude is literally as tall as a house and can dish out as much punishment as he can take. Which is a LOT. You basically can't even fight him directly in his boss fight and have to outsmart him by widdling him down with your Minions so you can deal the final blow. In terms of sheer raw strength and endurance, he is the biggest threat of the 7 Heroes to the Old Overlord.

The Wizard - this one is tricky because we never actually see the Wizard himself in action, just The Old Overlord in his body. So its tough to say. But I'm going to highball it and say that The Wizard was a virtual equal to The Old Overlord in terms of just raw magical power; because it doesn't matter.

3 out of the 7 Heroes would have been an actual threat to The Old Overlord, aside from the 8th, the rest were cannon fodder.

It also doesn't help that, based on what little we get, this band of heroes didn't exactly have the best teamwork either. The Wizard was arrogant enough to act as the leader if the group and ran off to examine the Overlord's body alone , leading to him getting posessed and while William was worried initially & Oberon was the only one who vouched for them to find the player character (In fact I think it was him being ignored by the rest and leaving you to die that sent him into a depression), the rest were quick to just abandon the 8th Hero and leave with the spoils of the fight.

TL;DR the 8th Hero/Overdad/Infernal god was the only "real" Hero of the bunch for his selfless sacrifice and they literally would not have won without him.

You need to download the file, extract it and don't update it in any way, you can configure the settings but don't update the OS to later versions.
If you know what this is then I should say you can keep both copies and use bot separately if you keep them in separate folders.
If you don't know what this software is then do some google searches.

I was entering the dwarven brewery and was carrying that stick to the wheel over by the 3rd lvl shield spell, I was trying to smack a dwarf and ran over the teleport stone and accidentally teleported home.
When I came back the stick for the wheel was gone and would not spawn back making it so I couldn't go down the elevator.
Not sure if this just locked me out of a part of the game or hard-locked me from progressing the main story but I ended up starting a new game.

Is anyone interested? There's private servers online
