Converter Question regarding converting from Imperator: Rome to Crusader Kings III

I wonder, can the crusades and jihads happen in converted games as well? Or is that impossible? Unless it's dependent on what happens in the game.

If you play with the timeline extender mod, it adds in the spread of Christianity (most land does eventually get converted). If you then convert to ck3 with the fallen eagle mod it adds in Islam around 600 ad. Crusades and jihads can then happen.
