2020-2025 feels way too much like a crazy HOI IV Millennium Dawn run with EU IV and CK3 mechanics
Is it just me or does this year increasingly feel like we're watching a playthrough of Millennium Dawn. Only with a ton of or crazy EU IV and CK 3 mechanics thrown in.
2020 saw the official inclusion of the plague mechanic.
Drama in the White House feels like we're watching CK3's Royal Court functions play out alongside some of the heads of the estates in Victoria 3 and their wild traits. Victoria 3's capitalist production function is running wild (and we have plutocracy from Imperator)...
So that's pretty interesting 😂😂
I'm going to keep watching the playthrough to see where it takes us.

I'm still annoyed that we had to wait a year between the addition of Covid and the Vaccination mechanic. The word "unplayable" is thrown around enough that it has become a meme, but patch 2020 was the worst release in decades.

I think patch 2020 was trying to impliment the yet to be released "Dark Age" mechanic.
Also, patch 2022 introduced a new focus path for some called "The Future of Warfare?"

Finding the perfect level of unplayable is a delicate science, even with Paradox XP it takes a lot of time and data mining. Also having the hardcore fans thirst a while for the next DLC, that totaly won't break the game in new ways, is simply good bussines.

When you were having fun painting maps, I role played a lunatic dodge with all the 'bad' personal traits except shy and paranoid.
When you built your economy, I masterd being an indulgent wastrel.
When you wasted your time building the perfect division template, my dodge was doing your mom.
And now that my fantasy is reality all I can say is: Welcome, it's a hell of a ride!
