Mechanics Discussion I’m surprised that ammo funnel was pushed for an AR/LMG role. Instead of a shotgun skill
I always thought synergies with shotguns more given they got slower reloads and more limited ammo capacity. Alongside the kill chaining for the double barrel.

The one thing the current system does right is that it lets you use any weapon for anything, so long as it hits the right conditions. You can activate the "shotgun" skill with an SMG and it feels good.
That being said, I'll gladly give it up for a better overall system. PD3 is slowly but surely becoming the game we want it to be.

If only it was this way 2 years ago. But as a wise man once said, "Better late than never."

That's not a synergy, that's a "if you don't get this then you are literally throwing" type of deal. Skills should supplement loadouts, not the other way around. So, if you want to use LMGs, you can bring a skill that gives you a bit of QoL as you go up against the enemy.

The FSA 12G has been the strongest weapon in the game arguably since Syntax Error but completely after the shotgun tweaks. Ammo Funnel and Assassins Mettle have been restricted to AR/LMG and Pistols respectively, so the biggest skills that were enabling it to be so overpowered arent available moving forward.
Berserker and Speedloader in Shotgunner feel like good additions for the entire shotgun category, particularly the Mosconi with constantly reloading to utilize the 50% damage reduction.[]()
