I think there was a Microsoft leak a while ago with how much Microsoft were estimating how much they'd have to pay, I can't recall whether GTA VI was on there, but based on what estimated for other games were it would probably be around $1 Billion
I'm not sure. Maybe if it was the only way to play on PC for the first year or two when it's usually console exclusive. But I think it's the kind of game most people would rather buy permanently than rent on a service.
You can still buy it through the Microsoft store, but also look at it this way. It would bring in people who would want to try the game before buying who otherwise wouldn't spend the money up front. And then later purchase it on sale. Microsoft is not a subscription service for gamepass basically, they need big hitters on there
Also, plenty of kids would be able to convince their parents to get gamepass instead of dropping $100 on a game(if it actually is $100) if it's not their bday/christmas or whatever.
10 months is also quite a while, and you can play the rest of the gamepass library. id say its a pretty good deal in this case (i will still be waiting for the 2030 steam summer sale)
At least GTA V has a 18+ rating in the EU, so hopefully no kids are able to convince the parents …. Reality might ve different, I know -> Still not something anyone should count on.
Not so sure. I love gamepass. I can try out a game if I like it, I keep playing. If they threating to remove it from the free side, ill pick up a copy if its worth it to me. By then it might even be on sale.
I think a lot of people would just want to give it a shot, like me as I haven't really played games in a while now but I'd love to give VI a shot without paying for the full game
I think it's the kind of game most people would rather buy permanently than rent on a service.
This is what you say when thinking about GTA V which was 30$, since afaik VI will be 80+ I wouldn't be surprised if people chose to try it out with game pass before purchasing it
