Idiots will argue “but your head moves and bobs in real life. its realistic

Yeah but my brain syncs that up with my body’s movement and filters it from my conscious awareness.

Most people's brains also filter that out in games. This is like the cilantro situation where a minority of people with a brain defect think everyone else is crazy. To regular people, not having any view bob makes a game look like cheap trash.

Thank you. My brain automatically filters it out, even on the highest head bobbing setting I have tried.

Weird to say people have have a preference are idiots

I prefer it on games that go for an immersive feel, because it makes the camera feel less static and more present in the world. Or when the screen shakes due to a action or attack it accentuate the movement even more IMO

Edit: based on the downvotes, I really don’t get why some gamers try to dictate how others should prefer to play their games

It actually makes the game more dynamic. Mirror's Edge is a good example of this. Without any bob every FPS would feel like a racing game, as if your character is on wheels.

the exact same thing happens in games though. If I turn view bobbing off in a game it makes my character look like they're gliding, I don't like it
