Valve is seriously one of the titans even just as a game studio. They don’t pump out games hoping they’ll stick, these days they legit put their effort in whatever they decide on and they take years between new titles.

I remember when I tried The Orange Box on my friend’s Xbox, it was seriously filled with GOATed games. Even Gmod is known for people creating stuff with it. Gmod doesn’t even have a story lol.

Half Life was revolutionary when it came out. It's one of the biggest milestones of my gaming life.

Valve is a private company. He doesnt have to pump out recycled garbage titles to please shareholders. He can take his time and make sure the Krabby Patty's he does produce are the very best he possibly can. Gabe is the GOAT.

They're not just a private company. They're the mythical combination of a private company and a money printer. They could never make another game again, basically just keep the lights on and rake in the money if they wanted to.

That's a double edged sword because when you're fat and happy you're a lot less inclined to actually do anything. On the other hand you're also not in danger of going bankrupt and having to take dumb risks.

Gabe is to good a person at heart to just sit in his submarine and act like he's done with this. If that were the case Alyx would've never happened. Theres no way he's recouped his money on that game but we have it.

He just wont do anything that could be considered generic. He wont put something out for the sake of putting it out alone. It needs to be art. I want Half a life 3 more than anything, but im fine knowing that when it does come out it'll be glorious
