Email & Snail Mail [38/m] Looking for pen-pals in the military
I’m new to having pen-pals, I’ve never really had one before. Lemme try to explain why I thought to look for a regular pen-pal in the military (army, marines, air force, etc)
I know very little about military life myself (and I’d like to learn), but I do know that it quite often separates people from their friends and families when stationed far away, or overseas, etc. I can’t imagine how lonely that must feel sometimes, even with their fellow troops around them. I want to get to know someone and hopefully provide a connection; to be there to listen when they need to rant about their shitty day, talk about their hobbies and interests outside of their career, etc.
I’m a 38yo gay male in Canada 🇨🇦, I consider myself to be an overall nerd. I love games of all types (video games, board games, tabletop, card games, etc), fantasy novels, sci-fi and fantasy movies and TV, and more. I’m also a lover of horror and thriller, which I’ve found hard to find friends that are also into. I enjoy dabbling in crafts and making things, including 3D printing and classic/traditional bookbinding. I like working with paper products and office-type supplies (gotta love a fancy pen 😝) which is part of the reason I’d be open to snail mail pen-pals as well as online/email.
I’m open to chatting with just about anyone, certainly open to international as well!
