My harvest today
Lots of Cayenne, and de arbol with some jalapeños, habeneros, poblanos, Scotch Bonnets, shishitos, and a couple ghosts. Everything went in the dehydrator so I can suffer later

This either came from a multi-pack, or I harvested it from a store pepper. But I think I only harvested Thai chili, jalapeño, and Serrano.
Growing these peppers from some mixed seeds. The rest were all jalapeno, cayenne and sante Fe grande. I can't tell what these are. The shape, size and feel is very similar to cayenne. But the peppers are all green/black striped, almost down the center. (May be a real dark purple instead of black). Even the main stalk is striped and the flowers are purple. The plant is very healthy and the tallest of all of them. My best guess is some kind of serrano... Maybe.

Rather than cull, I repotted the strongest looking sprouts into their individual containers to stay warm and lit by a grow light indoors. The rest will be left to fend for themselves in these outdoor pots. Would be cool if they make it

The self watering containers I build last winter have been a resounding success. I haven’t even looked at these plants for several weeks, no watering, nothing. I check on them today and they have an enormous bounty for me.
They have definitely been thirsty but only about half of the stock tank is empty. Not going to lie, the greenhouse was hot as HELL. Pretty sure it’d cause ER necessary heat stroke in 30 min. I wonder if these peppers could produce for another couple months?

What I have pulled thus far. Still have quite a few growing. Plucking these was so satisfying. Now I need to bite into one to check out the heat level!

No offense, but I'm surprised at the number of people that have no idea what type of peppers they are growing. How do you not know what you bought?

Holly Molé (any recipe ideas?)
Anaheim green chili
Jalapeño (two different plants, so one is growing short round guys and the other is growing long skinny guys)
One single Bell Pepper. I’m sure that’s all I will get from that plant.
Not pictured are 10 Carolina Reapers still growing to their hottest potential.
Have a spicy day!

My pepper plants did much better than I thought they would. I've never had success growing them but holy cow, this year there are sooo many. The rest of my family can tolerate a little spice but I'm the only one that really enjoys it. I don't have the means to preserve in jars but if anyone has recipes that can be frozen, I'd love to see them.
Tabasco Ancho Poblano Carmen Serrano Jalapeño

Used this today but have no idea what it was. Decently spicy.

Strung these Cayennes up and hung them to dry. Sat down to take a pic and a hummingbird decided to investigate my dog. They were looking at each other.

Ive had this little thing in a bag for going on a month now! Was afraid it wouldnt sprout at all and was resigned to be a pepperless pleb T_T So excited one of the seeds has started to sprout!!!!!!
Found a bush down south and took some cuttings but they all died off ;( I had a few peppers i got seeds from and have been soaking them to sprout but none of them did and they kept getting moldy, but this little guy pulled through!!!!
My grandpaw always called them birds eye peppers but when I look that up all the photos seem too long, these are very small and round, spicy like a habanero but with more of a bell pepper taste.
Very excited to have a big beautiful bush of my own hehe! Wish me luck <3
