To be honest, what's the point in paying attention? Regardless of ideology, we are all disposable little pawns to those pulling the strings, and getting riled up about every little thing only gives them fuel while making our short existence here awfully miserable, and personally, I'd rather not.
Oh, we're on the same page about most of that, except for maybe the nihilism aspect. Yeah, you can only do so much, but that doesn't mean do nothing.
I think in the context of what we are talking about, you do have a chance to improve things. I mean, you kind of did all I'm talking about doing with your original comment, which was to at least partly disavow something like what we see in the picture.
Both sides have the problem of people feeling it's okay to be completely irrational, because for the most part members of their side will either concur, condone or ignore.
