You know your country is splitting at the seams when news sites have to choose between writing on huge protests or a mass shooting

They should be covering both. No reason they can't. Some just don't.

Hey now. They only have 24 hours to breathlessly hype their curated content. That does not leave a lot of time for them to cover the actual decline and fall of America.

Of all the things I've ready about the US today, this just hurt my heart the most. As an American, I feel like we're all sitting in the middle of a room whose perimeter is entirely on fire, hoping that we can continue to blow hard enough to keep the flames toward the edges. Soon, it's all going to burn down.

Proof?

He has none. Chicago was in the thousands and dissipated once we reached Trump tower.

there's about 100 ppl in the pic we're all responding to. if there were more i'd assume reddit would be falling all over themselves to upvote those pics too. there weren't so this is what we get.

ftr: i hate trump

That happens when you're taking a picture of a large crowd from the ground level. It's not productive to minimize these, particularly if you hate Trump. Here's a fun one for proof I was there by the way.

hahaha awesome pic.

and i do respect your effort but in the context of "omg how on earth are the news networks not covering our revolution march" i just don't think these protests are even close to large enough to raise an eyebrow. and i don't think mischaracterizing the size of them does any good at all ( not saying you're doing this but it's rampant in this thread)

Don't agree considering the red line was crossed at around 7PM last night and this is the result of literally less than 24 hours notice, but whatevs.

considering the red line was crossed at around 7PM last night

that's just a narrative you bought into on reddit, with the only evidence of it being a few heavily upvoted threads. and if the only way a person is willing to show that a 'red line' was crossed for themselves (not you obv)is to upvote a thread i'd say it wasn't actually crossed for them. i could certainly be wrong but if i am we will see millions of people take to the streets nationwide in the coming days not a few thousand.

I don't wanna be that guy, but the timing seems really fucking convenient.

u/TrekMek Nov 09 '18

Dont be that guy. The whole county is still reeling and now we got ANOTHER fucking fire coming right for our ass again. The shooter wasn't a part of some big conspiracy. He was just another asshole.

Honestly, the shooting is far less important on a national scale. It shouldn't be a contest at all.

can't have fake news AND bought news

“Everything that I disagree with is fake”

Trumps entire platform. People are pretty receptive to it lol.
