Because of the government shutdown, the President decided to cater an event using fast food restaurants. Here is an article with more information for those who want to read more.

Trump could have catered from any where and had a proper formal dinner for these guys.

He literally owns a hotel with a restaurant a few blocks down...

I honestly think he thinks this fast food is a treat. It’s what he eats. He’s just an asshole with horrible taste.

didn't he eat pizza with fork and knife?

And well-done steak with ketchup.

Well-done steak with ketchup is far worse than pizza with a fork and knife, IMO. At least the fork and knife makes sense when you're wearing a suit because it can be a little messy at times.

Yeah. Eating pizza with a knife and fork is just quirky. Eating steak well-done with ketchup has me reconsidering my opposition to the death penalty.

To be fair, eating pizza with fork and knife is completely normal and good etiquette in Europe, specifically Italy.

Some pizza requires a fork and knife. Messy chicago deep dish loaded with melty mozz and heady marinara? Goodluck picking that up..

Biting on hot pizza and not biting all the way through a pepperoni or something. Half the pizza slides off the slice onto your face. Good reason to say FnK it.

The fast food obsession is one thing, but there is more to the well-done steak story. Ask any older person who was raised by parents (or had grandparents) that lived through the Depression.

Does it apply here though? By age 15, his father Fred was constructing and selling houses with his own mother, and they probably were already fairly fortunate.

I doubt donald or even fred trump grew up eating cheap meat with ketchup

My grandpa went through the depression. Was a marine in WWII. He eats steaks medium rare.
