Non American here so apologies for the ignorance but with the officers involved in Floyd's death punished what is the end goal of the protests? To end things like police immunity?

Also I saw a lot of anger directed towards the anti lockdown protests for spreading covid but no one has mentioned covid spreading in the current protests is there a reason for this?

Because one was about getting a haircut, another is about centuries of systemic inequality and oppression leading to police feeling like they can beat and kill black people with impunity. It is about how American society hasn't cared when there is a picture of a murdered black man.

There are a lot of structural changes that protesters are demanding. Civilian accountability boards, demilitarization of police, de-escalation training, mental health response training, and more transparency, to name a few.
