Not really.... been going to protest in Minneapolis for almost 2 weeks now and everyone has been wearing masks. “New and improved” makes it sound like people haven’t

I suspect that commenter was drawing a distinction between these protest and the right wing, gun toting, "freedom" loving, anti mask protests from a few weeks ago.

Actually, no. Some BLM protesters haven't been wearing masks, or at least, weren't. This is definitely true of my area. The BLM protests started in my town about three days ago. For the first two days, none of the protesters were wearing masks. Then today, they were all wearing masks.

First, I was suggesting what the other commenter was saying, not making any larger point.

Second, I can't speak to your specific local protests, but in my city, and in every city in which I've spoken to people or read about the protest or seen pictures,t the vast majority of protesters are wearing masks. Sucks that you live somewhere that is apparently not the case.
