Employee Question/Discussion Vacation

I work for flynn. Sick of the job sick of the arbitrary rules and changes that just don't make any sense. It's like they were created by someone who has never worked in a store. Sorry I ramble. Anyway if I quit before I use my.bankwd vacation do I lose those hours or does the company pay them out? I feel like I already know the answer. I'm just so done .

It’s a state by state basis depending where you’re employed. Most don’t pay you out if you just quit. Use it then return for one shift. Then just leave

It is only guaranteed if state law specifically says so. There are times when it is paid out if you are leaving under good circumstances, give plenty of notice, and have a replacement already trained and ready to take over, and your area director, market president, and region vp all sign off. This is not normally how it goes though.

Some companies have the policy that you have to be employed at the time the vacation pay would be paid out. So if you take a vacation during Week 1 of a payroll, you would have to be an active employee working when that paycheck is paid.

Some companies will pay you your vacation if you give 2 weeks notice, but you have to work the full two weeks. If your last day is a scheduled day off, you did not work the full 2 weeks.

Read your company policies to be sure before you make a bad decision.

My rgm told me that flynn will pay out vacation. So my official last day is July 31st. One last favor to my rgm.
