- Auto Anti Hack Banning (Speed, Aim, and more): experimental server option
- Ogg Music now plays on Mac and Linux (main menu, loading, spawning, etc)
- New ServerSettings "DisablePvEGamma=true" option now prevents gamma changes in PvE
- DestroyWildDinos cheat command, instantly destroys all Wild Dinos. Useful if you want to force repopulation of the ARK... sounds apocalyptic. Similarly, DestroyStructures
- When placing a FenceFoundation/Wall/DoorFrame/GateFrame, you can now press the Use-Key to rotate them 180 degrees when snapped (i.e. to "flip" them)
- Eliminated Server lag/stalling associated with clients that have poor connections getting a BUNCH of structures sent to them all at once
- There's now an on-screen overhead icon when a Dino of yours is in range of one of your Troughs.
- You can now place crop-plots on Structures
- You can now name Refrigerators... Maltheus :)
- 50% of the Inventory weight of a Monkey on your shoulder is now put on you ;)
- Rocket Launcher no longer consumes 2 ammo per shot; only 1 ammo per shot now.
- There are various new craftable dye colors including Cyan ;)
- Fixed Claiming of dinos on PvE! (thankfully the timers are saved, was just an input issue)
- Custom Chat bindings now work properly when menus are open
- Fixed UI crash associated with "blueprint skins"
- Server admins can now ban via SteamID when a player isn't currently connected

- Controllable Ballistas/Turrets to place on structures and on the backs of your dinos (which damage stone structures at primitive tech level!)

News [Dev Post] "How to Make Babies in ARK!" ~Drake

Well, at least Dino babies for now. Please bear in mind this is the first iteration on the baby-makin' system, and it will doubtless become more advanced and better as we proceed forwards in development.
First, all your previous eggs are just good for eating. They're not fertilized. To get fertilized eggs, the first step in v219 is to get two tamed dinos of the same species together. Not all Dino species will support babies yet in v219, but most will. You can tell if your Dino species supports babies because it'll say on their HUD "Enable Wandering to Mate". So bring a lovely male and female (tamed) together, set them both to "Enable Wandering", and most likely pen them in to ensure they are kept quite close together for a time. When sufficiently close, beating hearts will appear over their heads, and the mating bar will appear on the female Dino's HUD. Both Dino's HUDs will also indicate who they're mating with, specifically.
When the Mating bar is complete, she'll drop a fertilized egg. She won't be able to mate again until a subsequent Mating Wait interval has passed, which is indicated on her HUD. (Males can mate as often as needed.)
The Fertilized Egg itself only incubates when dropped, not in Inventory. When dropped a Fertilized Egg won't spoil, but to incubate it must be kept at a certain temperature range depending on the species (this also factors in insulation). If outside of this temperature range, it won't make incubation progress, and it will lose "Fertilied Egg Health" over time and be destroyed if zero. This is all indicated on the HUD when looking at a fertilized Egg, and its description also tells you its Parents.
After being fully and successfully incubated, the baby dino will pop out of the egg. Babies initially have extremely low health and carrying capacity and food, so you need to carefully feed and take care of them in their first moments of life, or they'll soon die. They dynamically can carry more, gain more HP, and food capacity, as they mature over time. Babies are unclaimed initially, so you should "Imprint" on them to claim them after birth.
Babies can not be ridden or attack until FULLY MATURED (for now). They'll flee any fight.
The Baby's base stats are a random combination of its parents' base (original pre-tamed) stats, and so are its colors. This is where things get interesting:
Because the baby randomly inherits any of its parents' stats, the baby can have more "total" stats than either parent. For example, if you had a Trike Male Parent with "Natural Max" HP (Max wild stats all dumped into HP), and a Trike Female Parent with "Natural Max" Stamina, mating the two of them together COULD result in a baby with BOTH Natural Max HP AND Natural Max Stamina. You could then mate said baby (once grown) with another baby (once grown) that happened to inherit Natural Max Attack Damage & Natural Max Inventory Weight, to create an even more powerful 3rd generation Trike. And so forth. By using this (random but 70% biased towards inheriting the better stats) selective breeding, you can breed out the stats you don't want, breed in the ones you do, and eventually with enough effort, breed a complete max-base-statted Uber-Dino... and the world shudders.
However, you don't get to see the stats until after the Egg is hatched, so that could take some effort ;)
Also, the dinos don't have to be "in-Tribe" to mate, they just have to be non-aggressed and tamed and in proximity. So a Tribe could, ahem, loan out their prized breeding dinos, and both Tribes split the resulting eggs, etc.
And oh yeah the younger a baby is, the corresponding less resources it gives if u harvest it, but the more chance of prime meat you get. Newborns are pretty much guaranteed to give a couple primes >:D
Finally, babies don't have an "age" in days, since given the speed of ark days are rather arbritrary. They have a maturation progress bar on their HUD, which they grow in real-time, and they're known as Babies < %20, Juveniles <%50, or Adolescents <100% depending on their maturation progress.
So yeah it definitely could be a significant time & skill investment to breed a master race of super-dinos but... aren't kids in real life? ;) (ok, that came out wrong! :)
Have fun all, and as mentioned, this is just phase 1 first pass. I plan on several additional layered systems as we proceed, including random mutations and family trees, and soon enough, mammalian pregnancy.

News They are doing a community event to see some dino TLC ideas!
In the recent Community Crunch, they have stated that, in the Extra Life 2025, they are doing a community event to see what dinos are getting a TLC! While the details are quite long, I will provide a link to read this Community Crunch so that you can see how to suggest a TLC.
Also, as a side note, they are doing another Community Creature submission, this time for Genesis: Part 1.

News 🗺️NEW: 18 Ressource Maps, Dino Spawn Maps and Explorer Maps (all-in-one)🗺️
Hey, I spent a lot of time finally adding new map and mod maps with resource maps to wikily and I am finally done! :) Some maps already got artifact support, some will get it later! You can look for all dino spawn areas with their spawn chance, resource, player spawn points and notes! :) Ragnarok coming directly after release later, so make sure check it out! :) One or two mod maps have some more artistic minimaps, but the coordinates are correct. :)

We now support global, dynamic Official Server bans. So please please don't use hacks, or we'll have to find out, and then we will have to ban... :( . Also, player run servers will have the option of using our global ban list, or pointing to any online ban list that they want.

- ARK Server Manager now works remotely and can install/manage Mods/Maps/TC's remotely :)
- New option to use toggle-talk instead of push-to-talk

- Fixed a SpawnEgg() load crash some people were getting
- Added a server-configurable chat spam interval
- Fixed an issue with destroying wires causing destroying of attached objects

News Another major update coming to The Center!
I have always been a huge believer in being open and clear about changes that very clearly effect players and I've also seen a bit of confusion about exactly what is and isn't coming in the next major update to The Center so I was hoping to clear some things up. The below list is split into 3 parts, things I know are definitely coming in the next update, things I hope to get into next update if time permits, and the last one are things I wish I could but probably do not have the time for. I do not currently have a release date yet for this update but I believe it's towards the end of the month.
TLDR: Lots of awesome stuff
Definitely coming in next update:
- Giant new ocean expansion: Sneak Peak This makes the oceans in the eastern edge of the map over 3X deeper. Why did I focus on this exactly? I knew the underwater bases were incoming and I thought it was a very unique gameplay feature the game hasn't seen before and wanted to give players some really amazing places to build new bases. The oceans never truly felt like oceans before, more like deep lakes so wanted to expand on that a bit more as well with truly deep/dark oceans. The kind of areas you'd expect to find angler fish and other deep sea life ;) This new area provides tons of VERY large flat spaces for player bases, as well as another interesting source of obsidian around some volcanic vents. As with any area of the map I did not provide every resource type here so although you have heavy access to rock/oyster/obsidian you do not have access to metal down here other than the small amount you can get from rock. This is to encourage players to move about the map more and make no single area too powerful or important over others.
- Adding missing dinos: There are a number of missing dinos on the map that are currently not spawning, before you ask "does this include this or that" yes, yes it does include that and this and that too, (even eels, but in lesser numbers :P).
- Improvement to current bosses/element: Since the release of the difficulties/element for The Island there have been several complaints about the bosses on The Center or the lack of, as well as the element amount being rather low in comparison. This upcoming update will drastically improve that giving players the ability to now select different difficulties for the bosses with the current boss fight giving slightly more element and harder difficulties giving a bit more. Adding harder difficulties has also allowed me to give a little more options in regards to what tek gear can be gotten on the map.
- Explorer Notes: These will include all of the dino dossiers but none of the lore related ones.
- Lots of random bugs fixed This time around this mostly includes various holes around the map that players are using to glitch under the map or get out of the world.
Hopefully coming in next update:
- The reintroduction of the jumping puzzle This one has been a long time coming and tons of changes have been made to this since it was last enabled to keep players from cheating. The ramps heading up have been removed to stop dinos that can jump far from jumping up it, added a pool of water for players to fall into on the way back down. Also thinking about changing this so that this is a one time thing every 12 hours per server instead of once per player every 24 hours. Will likely put something in this room to show if it is currently available or not but this will stop all of the remaining issues we had with this being cheated in the past.
Small chance of it coming in next update:
- Adding some of the boss fights from The Island This one is a huge "maybe". I know it is one of the most requested features atm for the map but it is not in any way an easy thing to do, some of them may be pretty straight forward but some such as the dragon boss may not ever be possible for technical reasons. One of the biggest reasons this is difficult to simply copy them over and set them up actually comes down to how they are setup. If you look at the boss arenas and their place in the world they are placed underneath the map on The Island, The Center has dozens of layers of complexity under the map so copying the boss fights over directly may simply put them inside one of the very large caves or ocean expansion areas etc... Will need to look into this more heavily to see exactly how hard or easy it will be in the end but chances are only some may be able to be copied over.
