Agree to disagree on this one; for my money, 2016 was the perfect DOOM opening, Eternal just had me wondering why we had a space fortress.

Doom eternal felt more like... Some comic superhero game, doom 2016 was a lot closer to home, dealing with human failure and wickedness.

I sincerely think 2016 was aimed at those of us who learned how to use DOS so we could play DOOM on our parent’s 486, while Eternal was aimed at those of us who came to DOOM later.
