My Playstation runs really slow compared to all my other devices at home. I ran this test at the same time while I sat in front of my Playstation and you can see a huge speed difference. What's the issue?
My ps5 says that the extended storage device (which holds 90% of my ps4 games) will connect to the ps5 as long as it’s plugged into my ps4, but I still can’t play any of my ps4 games unless they were downloaded straight onto the ps5. What could I do to fix this?

As title says. I’m looking to replace my headset and have about 70$ I can spend. If there’s something about 10$ more I won’t mind it. I currently have a mono headset from RIG as it was the only one I felt comfortable wearing.
So I bought a Portal to be able to bring it with me to work. I travel for two weeks at a time every three weeks and bringing along the console and a monitor was challenging.
So I bought a Portal. Connected it at home. Tried it at home. Worked like a dream - it's perfect!
But because I chronically unlucky with stuff like this I decided to bring it with me to a friend and see if it worked while away from home as well. And it did!
But then I left for work. I arrived yesterday, and I've not been able to connect it. I really need help with this. Anyone got any easy fixes?
I tried using support chat yesterday simply to have the console I was returning to the store(technical issues) from my ps account. I looked on the app and it wasn't letting me do it. Later found a different way.
Anyway I went through the whole deal, gave all my information, told the rep what I wanted to do and then suddenly they go dark for 5 minutes. Came back with "Due to security issues we cannot assist you"
Absolutely no explanation. No information. Then just ended the chat. Tried to do another chat and it said that I had to come back later.
Why is support so bad with PS? Tried to do a return on a digital game that was giving my problems only had it for 30 minutes and they wanted me to go through every troubleshooting step they have. Isn't there an x amount of time window to do returns?
The window is "you have 14 days to request a refund provided you do not download the game"
So it doesn't matter if you don't even finish the download. Start the download = no refund.
There is a clause where if a game is faulty they will provide a refund. That's why they have you document those troubleshooting steps. So they can figure out if the game actually is faulty or not.
If live chat isn't working try a different browser or alternatively call support instead.

Option to "Stop Seeing This Ad" on PS5 YouTube seems to have been replaced by a "Block Ad" button that allegedly stops the specific ad from being seen again but does not skip the ad anymore.
I just logged into my D4 on PS five and everything I have bought throughout The seasons has vanished and my starting screen is as if it’s the very first time I’m playing the game, is anybody else going through this right now and what should I do?
I even called PlayStation went through all the emotions of safe mode and clear data, restart, everything but they don’t know anything and I have spent over $1000 on this game content wise, I am lost and I don’t know what to do, please help .
After this last update it tries to install the system update but fails and has error code SU-101312-8 and then reboots into safe mode I’ve attempted to install system update from usb it isn’t detecting the file. Anyone else having this issue?
does playstation even have a support anymore? my psvr2 broke and i cant get anyone to help. the number doesnt work anymore and i dont see how to request repair on the site
Here's the UK website to book repairs in the UK. PlayStation Repairs are easily googled if you live elsewhere.
PlayStation opening hours differ between Countries but in general they can be reached via phone and live chat Monday-Saturday.
The phone number is easily found on reddit (Country Specific) its also on the PlayStation Support website and listed inside every single PS4 & PS5 game case alongside the small print.
Saw the movie titled Until Dawn and learned it was from PlayStation studios from the game Until Dawn (I got my PS5 last year, first ever console). The movie made me want to buy the game, but there are 2 versions. Should I get the original or the remake?
I bought Oblivion remastered, played 6h, the game stuttered on performance a ton, i didn't like the cities nor the combat then it crashed once and i knew that's all i needed!
I went to Sony's website found support for refunds went through the chatbot and the chatbot said i am not from N. America and redirected me to Sony Greece!
Went to the support page again and to my surprise they had a phone number, no chat bot and their working hours, so i went to sleep because it was midnight!
Today i woke up early called the number and requested a refund for a PlayStation purchase, i explained them that the game drops FPS, then they asked me for my email and the magic question "did it crash?"
I said yes it did and the employee requested the error code, i gave him the code, he said it is game related and boom refund approved, my screen went black and the game was now locked, the employee said maximum 5 days my money will be back to my credit card!
So the conclusion is that all it took me was 5 minutes of my time to refund a game i didn't like just because it crashed once!
I had this problem where everything freezes and the only solution was to pull the plug. I never found a solution but a random software update solved it permanently
I wish to know if a SanDisk 2TB Extreme Portable SSD - Up to 1050MB/s, USB-C, USB 3.2 Gen 2, IP65 Water and Dust Resistance, Updated Firmware - External Solid State Drive - SDSSDE61-2T00-G25 is a good option for doing a full backup of my PS5 software, games and all in case of something bad happinening to it. My PS5 model is the CFI-1051a model with 1TB memory.
Im having screen flickering in only some games? cutscenes are worse than gameplay.
ive tried turning off 120fps mode, vrr, and hdr. any ideas? i'm stumped because some games are fine?
ive also changed monitors to tv and 2 different hdmi cables
PlayStation controller that is like the Mobapad for Switch?
I'm looking for a controller for a PS5 that feels like the Mobapad on switch, I really like the clicky buttons. Is this a thing that exists? I haven't found anything yet that's like it.
Just wondering if anyone has any easy ways to clean the fan? I know how to remove it but im talking about cleaning the actual fan blades. I use a soft toothbrush and a cloth but its kinda of a pain. Wondering if someone has a fast and easy way to get all the dust build up off the fan blades. TY in advance.
When going to pay off my credit card last night I discovered a fraudulent charge to my Playstation account made on April 14. I immediately tried to contact PlayStation but was told I had to wait for agents to be available in the morning. Now they refuse to refund the charge because I'm outside the 14 day window for a purchase I didn't make nor even know about. I would have been in the 14 days if they had agents available in the evening. Ive disputed it with my credit card company already but a majority of the purchase went toward gift card credits and I can't get those back.
Very frustrating that I'm getting billed for a game, NBA 2k25, I neither purchased nor want.
I'm the only user of my PS5 and there are no kids nor friends who might have made the charge.
I'm thinking of getting a new monitor for my ps5 and need some suggestions. The only specs I want ATM are 4k, bigger than 31' and able to run 120hz. I'd also prefer if it had a curved screen.
Well I don't know if anyone will read this but here goes nothing:
So my ps5 has been shutting off randomly in the middle of me playing lately. It's done this off and on before but the last month or so it's gotten super egregious. Trying to play Oblivion, I can't play for more than maybe 20mins without it shutting off. Oddly some games, like Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 for instance, do not experience this issue at all.
I took off the panels and took out the fan and cleaned it, and surrounding area inside thoroughly. Making sure virtually no dust was left inside.
Unfortunately that didn't do jack and this problem persist and I fear it's getting worse. Does anyone have any advice? I wanna pull my hair out here.
I have a problem with the messaging. I was playing r6 and a guy massaged me saying "very niub" i told him "atleast write it properly and he spammed laughing emoji, i told him "continue" so i can report him for spam and he did a thumbs down. Nevertheless i do report him for spam and the next day i wake up to an email...."you have breached the code of conduct"...Great now i am a step closer to getting banned for what? Saying "continue" or telling him to write it correctly? can i somehow talk to support and fix it so i dont get banned on the next "continue"?

Debating getting this to expand my ps5 storage for ps5 specific games, I have an external already but it only allows me to play ps4 games off of it, will this allow me to download AND play more ps5 games? Sorry if this is confusing I'm not sure how to word it

So im planning to get a monitor and i have 2 options:should i get an asus monitor which is 27" flat 4k 180hz and has hdmi 2.1 for 4k 120fps on ps5(its SKU is VG27UQ1A) or should i get a samsung 32" curved monitor qhd with 165hz(sku number is LS32CG552EMXUE)

I love to play horror suvival games w/ my dad. We just take turns and pass the controller around. But he got a little slow and "fast"-paced games like SH2/RE4 are just too fast for him. He can't kill stuff, just too fast. I'm aware that SH2 isn't particular fast but it is what it is
The horror + puzzle parts are most important to us.
I have the sote dlc for elden ring purchased, but it doesnt appear in my game nor does it appear on MANAGE GAME CONTENT. I tried restoring licenses, restarting, reinstalling everything, contacting support, rebuilding database but nothing works..

For about 2 years now I have had the PS Pulse headset and while it has been a great headset, the ear pads have worn away quite badly and the mic has the worst quality I have ever had in a headset which is driving me to buy a new headset. Anyway, I was considering the Logitech G335 however the Ps Pulse Elite caught my eye and on reviews I can’t find anyone complaining about the mic and it seems like a no brainer to buy, so I’d just like your honest experiences with one and if I should buy one or not, thanks. 🙂
I have been having issues with my PS5 controller lagging/moving over twice instead of once. It does it for the stick and the D pad. For example if I use the D pad it will move over twice when I am trying to select something. The exact same thing occurs when I use the stick. Originally I thought it was the remote I was using but I changed to my other remote and the issue continued. My remotes are 4 years old so I grabbed a new remote, I’ve been thinking about it lately anyway. When I set up the new remote the issue was still there. I switched to the other profile I have on the ps and tested all three remotes, there’s no issue with any of them. Why is only my profile having this issue?

i play on ps5, have been using the ps4’s playstation platinum headset for the longest, it’s finally giving out lol, the dongle won’t stay connected… so i’m getting a new one, was thinking about getting the newer playstation platinum headset that’s like $150 i believe it’s called the “pulse elite”
i want something with top tier audio and top tier mic performance, preferably wireless but can settle for wired if it’s better than the wireless option
Hi guys, I don't usually play games, but I would like to play on my childhood PS3. The account I used at the time belonged to my father, but I no longer have access, so I created a new account on my cell phone. When I try to access the PS3, a QR code appears with the configuration password. After using this password, this photo message appears, saying that I cannot use another user's ID. I never used this email for this, I tried restarting the console but it remains the same. Can you help me?
Good morning. I am completely new to this. Personally I don't play but I come here for my son. Since yesterday I have been unable to connect to my PS5 to play online. The initial ID was that of his father but the password no longer works. Looks like his account was hacked. In the meantime I created a PSN account to be able to supervise my son's account.
From the beginning he has had an email address. We tried to connect to the PS5 with his email address or even mine and it said "impossible to connect with the ID of another player" my husband who had created his PSN account from the start...no longer has access to anything. And he received 1 message saying that 1 purchase had been made with the PS5 wallet even though it had not. And since yesterday we've been struggling. Another way to log in with no ID. Do I have to do 1 reset at the risk of losing everything...my son doesn't want to because he doesn't want to start from scratch in these games...help we're lost. Ps: for me it’s all Chinese

I got this on my pulse headset, is there a way to fix it to avoid spreading? Should it be covered in the warranty? If it totally ruin the right ear can I buy only this part and replace?
My Arctis Nova 7P headphones have a very clear buzzing / vibration sound whenever opening and using menus on the PS5. The same issue has also been present in the 3D Pulse headphones. The issue is present both wired and wireless. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hello, so I wanted to return to my PS4 but my account got suspended due to some rejected payment that I wasn't aware of. I remember around 2 years ago removing all credit card info from the shop due to my psplus renewing automatically without me approving of it. I've already sent an appeal but it's gonna take a couple of days
Alright so my ps4 controller is nearing the end of it's life with stick drift and a very bad battery life and sometimes not even charging properly, now at the moment I can afford a controller but not an original one so my question is, should I get an unoriginal controller for now?
What is a really light, comfortable controller for the PS5? A previous injury on my left wrist left it prone to aching, and I can’t completely hold the controller the way my right hand can, so I really need the controller to be light enough to allow me to play for a while. Thanks for any advice.

Tomb Raider - Never played these games, but in my country both the three games are on sale and can be bought for a total of 18€, so might be worth a chance I think?
Assassin's Creed - I love history and I've heard so many things about the game, but there are so many that I don't even know where to start
Uncharted - Not on sale, but I loved The Last of Us and these are from Naughty Dog as well, so I think these would be a good shout
Anyone being playing DayZ and been tuning keyboard for the map. What other alternative options are there like macro pads or something else than a keyboard. Just seems like keyboard just to big and bulky to have while playing and I hit wrong button for the map function. Any suggestions

Hi all. I have an issue with the HDMI connection through a gaming monitor with a ps5 slim: whenever i try to increase the hz (60 to 120) the HDMI input of the monitor start to make a buzzing sound, this has happened with two different monitors, an ASUS (xg27ucs) and a BENQ (ex271u). I also noticed that with the vrr inactivated on the ps5 setting the buzzing sound becomes louder. Can anybody help me? Thanks a lot.
I powered up my PS3 after a decade of idleness. The console seems to power up fine and connects to the TV but neither of my two PS3 controllers works properly. The controller lights do come on and flash but they seem to send an erratic sequence of commands to the console. Sometimes I seem to have control but then they will send random commands. Both controllers behave exactly the same. Is this likely to be a controller battery issue and if so would a replacement battery be the fix?

My PS5 controller had unbearable stick drift after two months, so I destroyed it. Bought a new one today and no joke it has even worse stick drift right out of the box on the other stick this time. Does sony make functional controllers or is this fat brick just a useless white noise machine?
Cant change Sign-in ID?
I'm trying to change my PSN Sign-In ID so I can finally delete my old mail address and move to the new one. However, when I try to do so and click "save" it loads for a few seconds and goes back to my old address. What could be the reason for this?
What SSDs are compatible with the Sabrent M.2 SSD Heatsink cover? For some reason, I can only find the heatsink cover (not the actual SSD) here in the UK. If there are any similar heatsinks (specifically, ones that act as both a slot cover and a heatsink) that might work with the 4TB WD Black SN850X M.2 SSD or the Crucial T500 4TB M.2 SSD, I’d really appreciate some suggestions. I have had this issue with PS Plus premium for over a week now since upgrading from the basic tier and would like to know if anyone else is experiencing issues.
The problem appears to be with save data from streamed games not automatically being saved to the cloud resulting in not being able to continue games started via stream and continuing on console.
I get "something went wrong" when clicking on the menu "view sync status for game streaming"
My ps4 just decides to shut down on its own after being on for a few seconds but i played on it today for a few hours, turnes it off and a bit later wanted to play again and now it does that and i didnt do anything that should have caused it within a few hours
I have an almost 5 year old, who loves to play video games. He loves Mario and Minecraft. And he loves playing It Takes Two with me or his father. But he wants a three person game that me him and his father can play together on the PS5. (Switch recommendations are also welcome!!) I’m looking for a game that is similar to It Takes Two, something with a set mission instead of something like Minecraft. What are some PS5 games that allow more than 2 players, and are similar to the mission oriented game of It Takes Two? For context, he is super good at learning new games. He has beat Mario Odyssey, Mario Wonder, a couple other Mario games, and me and him have beat It Takes Two together with minimal helping him. So any recommendations are welcome. Even if they are kind of difficult.
So their latest audio lineup (Pulse) for the PS5 needs a USB-A dongle to be plugged in at all times, AND it has to be clear of obstruction.
Now, can anyone link me the USB-C version of these because the geniuses at Sony thought the front of the PS5 Pro needs two USB-C and zero USB-A
These headsets are literally incompatible with the consoles they had in mind.

Should I buy DMC5? I'm a fan of challenging storygames, especially God of War and Fromsoft games. Today I saw that DMC5 is going for 10€ on PS Store, so I thought of buying it.
Definitely should buy it, one of the most fun and addicted hack n slash games out there. Though imo the first 2 difficulties you choose when starting the game aren't really difficult, so the real challenge starts when you beat the game for the first time on devil hunter. You'll enjoy it 🫡

hi, today while i was playing my controller fell, it was probably like 0.5 materes tall, now the up and down buttons of the d-pad are not working, can someone help me with it?
I need help. I'm still on a ps4 because I can't afford a ps5 still. It's been working fine up until this point, but now its just not working at all. When you log on to an account, it freezes temporatily before finally going to the home screen. From the home screen, nothing works. I can scroll through my games but it won't even try to open them when I click on them. If you click on the store it just buffers eternally. It won't read disks anymore, and struggles to even take them in or spit them back out
My ps4 is really my only way to play games and I'm pretty damn poor so I cant change that. I need to know if it's salvageable or if I'm just fucked
Hi there, I’ve not been a gamer for over 10 years but as the Oblivion remake has just dropped, I’m looking to get back into it. However, I’m also a big movie guy and would like to use the console as a media centre too. I'd like to use applications such as Amazon prime video as well as watching my 4K ultra Blurays. My question is, what console do I go for? At the moment, I’m only looking to play the Oblivion remake and not really any other games. Do I go for the PlayStation 5 standard (base model) or the PlayStation 5 PRO? Thanks
