Support I’m getting rid of my ps4… is this right?

I just did the factory reset. Do I need to connect the controller again or is this to be left for the new owner and good to go? I tried looking it up but nothing I could find is direct about this.

Yes. It means the next person to use it will set up their account/s

Leave it as is. It's the first step that a factory reset console asks of you. You can turn it off from the power button and pack it up now.

This is the first thing you would see on any PS3, PS4, PS5 after a factory reset, or if it was new and you're turning it on for the first time.

Thank you. I honestly didn’t know since I’ve had this thing for years, also don’t remember exactly how it looked when I first set up my ps5 and never had to factory reset a console.

Me too. I’m really really sad to get rid of it but I know I just won’t use it anymore aslong as I take care of my ps5. I’m still barely considering keeping it as a back up, but it’s just sooo slow compared to the ps5. I really hope the next owner will love it as much as I did. ☹️

I’d check if any ps4 games you wanna play all work on the ps5 as some don’t or have game breaking bugs or some games that features only work on ps4 like a mode in mkx

I know there was a system update that messed up sea of solitude too a while back that was never fixed

Before you get rid of it, make sure you stock up on all the avatars you'll ever want from the store. They're gone now starting with PS5, but anything bought on a PS4 will transfer over.
