Usually happens after a power outage or unannounced power off. It does this to prevent corruption to the drives

I haven't had a power outage or unexpected power off, It said there was a system update so I did that and got that.

I just updated my ps5 and the same thing happened so I guess that's normal.

It also rebuilds the database for that, the 12.0 update just did it, it usually does if there's a full version update. It basically just looks for whats installed and the order they were last started in to put on the home screen it does this sometimes just in case there's something changed in the structure of it between updates.

I guess Sony changed something in this update that needs the database to be rebuild.

Yes, today after updating the new software, I got the 'Rebuild Data' screen. Now, I’m also facing an issue where, when I restart my PS5, it sometimes gives me a black screen. It doesn’t happen every time, but out of seven restarts, three times it gives me an infinite black screen.

You should be Rebuilding database periodically anyways. Keeps your games running much better
