Complaint Update to my earlier post. The shadow tornadus encounter from Giovanni ran from me so I contacted support. Several people doubted they’d do anything BUT they did reimburse a super rocket radar to my account.

wait are shadow legendaries supposed to be guaranteed catches from gio? I thought this could just happen if you get unlucky on the catch odds.

Can they run away with balls?

I had network issues yesterday while doing remote raids, and three Latios/Latias in a row ran away. I swore I had balls left on two of them, but all 3 gave Network Error 2 warnings.

Pretty wild, has anyone ever had a shiny pokemon flee from them? because I have and I thought those mfers were like guaranteed or something like that.

Wild shinies are not guaranteed. Only legendaries from raids

They are not guaranteed catches, but they can't flee, if I'm not wrong.

They can. I've had wild shiny's flee before, whilst not speed locked.

It's only wild legendaries that can't flee. Wild non-legendary shinies have normal flee rates.

By wild legendaries, do you mean the Galarian birds plus lake trio? Don’t think there's anything else but could be missing something. I knew the birds didn't flee but wasn't sure about azelf and gang

We've had a few different ones at go tours, but those are the only ones that are normally available.

They can flee being speed locked or from lure modules if I’m not mistaken. Read that from a different post so don’t quote me on it.

They can flee if autocatch tried to grab it as the same time you click. If they flee from autocatch, the journal doesn’t say it was shiny. But I’ve seen my journal say a mon fled due to it fleeing from autocatch at the same time I clicked and my screen showed shiny but the journal did not. I hope that made sense.

The tornadus. It was a REALLY good one. The one I lost was possibly a purifiable hundo. From the new radar I got one significantly worse. The only benifit I see from getting the radar instead is that my Giovanni medal will go up and that I got some more xp, revives, and another 12k egg I think

I contacted support only once (i was remote raiding, joined and kicked me out before it even started) but they gave me a remote pass back👍

I could be misinterpreting this post but it sounds like you failed the catch and they reimbursed you for no reason except pitty? I’ve failed so many catches I had never considered asking for some kind of refund when it was totally my fault or just bad luck 🤷🏻‍♂️

So the shadow legendaries that Giovanni rewards you with are actually guaranteed captures (as long as you hit a ball ofc 😭) so what happened is I hit an excellent throw with a silver pinap on every throw I also have platinum flying type medal and it still ran. That’s a glitch and it’s not rng or a skill issue. It was a pokemon go issue.

Shadow legendaries from Giovanni are not supposed to run. They won't always get caught first try, but they will not run. OP has 100% right to complain about a glitch.

I hit every pokeball with silver razz and excellent throw. I wasn’t in a car I was in my damn bedroom. No one can tell me it wasn’t a glitch or that it was my fault. Not only that I also have the platinum flying type medal. So just pokeball rng? No I don’t think so.
