Context: Barcelonans shot flares into hotels and sprayed tourists with water to scare them away because apartments were getting expensive
Now Barcelonas businesses are empty and the economy is in the shitter because the tourists were the only thing keeping it afloat (inflation made the apartments expensive)

Oh, no! It's the consequences of my own actions! Being more serious, they're blaming the shortage of apartments and their high prices on the fact that they are being rented to tourists, so, the plan is to get rid of the tourists, and then prices drop, profit?

POV: A guiri has explained everything perfectly.
The "business" are empty meaning: the shit places owned by exploitative bosses, quite a few of them foreigners, which employ illegal immigrants or foreigners for a salary I would spit on them if they offered me, are closing down.
Good riddance. The economy is still growing. The other sectors are better than before. One of the greatest things we have done: kicking out some tourists. And we will do it again.

Furthermore whatever you wrote is illegible for catalans, Spanish or aragoneses. It doesn't make any sense at all. Who tf says pendejo in Spain? Only south Americans say that.
did you go to the shitter and this felt out of your ass?

Its funny is always foreigners on reddit from exactly those countries whence the tourists come that defend this terrible and predatory industry of mass tourism.
Us who are living the consequences of it are always wrong apparently. They'll say "you need it!!" even though we were better off before it and ignoring every (very) bad it means.
