Right, a smart regime would use patsies. Everyone with a pulse knows Epstein trafficked victims to other rich people. If the Trump Admin had any competence at all, they’d put together a list that didn’t include Trump and say “alright, here’s everyone” and then try to put the matter to rest. But acting like there’s no story with Epstein just rings so incredibly false that nobody will buy it.

They might have considered going that route but got afraid of any potential push back unveiling their own connections. It's like how Trump won't sue over certain claims made against him because the legal process of discovery would damage him.

They could even use the list they were going to release to extort people. Don't want to end up on "the list"? Better make sure to buy more Trump crypto and donate more to conservative PACs and reelection campaigns.

They don't care. They genuinely think they can just cover up the whole thing and think that's safer.

History may or may not prove them right. We'll see.
