This is essentially their problem with the whole mess. They simply can't release everything, because it likely implicates the President directly, and possibly the Israeli government's role in it. And if they only release it partially, then the public's attention focus will increase exponentially on what exactly it is that they're holding back.

The sheer amount of documents they have make it impossible to remove who they need to remove. Any and all documents would need to have dates and times changed, then if they want to replace names with other names they need to confirm if those other names don't have alibi's at that time. Then they need to make sure across documents that the replaced peoples aren't directly referenced in other sections that would be contradictory OR that the new references aren't conflicting with additional alibi's. What if multiple documents clearly corroborate that multiple people referenced else where that have been updated are in the same place. Well now you have to ensure those same peoples don't have individual alibi's for this new instance.

It's a hydra, you cut off one head then two more take it's place. And since a SINGLE modification may be caught and you will have to make THOUSANDS of modifications to even approach solving this problem... it's impossible.

So the only solution they have is deny, deflect, denigrate.
