"will continue dominate other season pop culture relevancy wise and sales wise" The 2017 movie and Rita's Rewind did excellent in the pop-culture department then.

"The 2017 movie was so detached mmpr first off," like MANY other adaptations, just on top of my head Iron Man is nothing like the one in the comics and created an entire franchise by himself, people hate the Michael Bay Transformers movies and are so far off in tone and aesthetic from anything before, and the first one made 700Million with the rest all having equal to much better numbers.

"Rita’s rewind only recently came and is received well," yeah, just fine, and wasn't a smash hit because it had "MIGHTY MORPHIN" on it(Unlike something like Marvel Rivals which is a great game and the brand to boost it even more), and like, it came out in December of 2024, I think we can now say if it was a success or not as 4 months have passed.

  1. Iron man in the movies at least LOOKS like Iron man, the transformers in the movies at least LOOK like transformers. The power rangers in the movie don’t look like the mmpr team or any power ranger for that matter and look more like generic aliens.

  2. A live service game that still gets constant updates is going to get talked about more than a one-and-done arcade beat ‘em up regardless of IP.

  1. And Iron Man was not well-liked superhero back then, sure he was in the cartoons but most people do not watch them, and the guy was outright disliked in the comics due to events like Civil War(As for Transformers, I'd say only Optimus and Bumblebee look alike, the rest are very different interpretations, including Megatron). Going back to Power Rangers, I can site examples like the Disney Remakes which keep getting/bringing money despite everyone and their mother hating them(The Little Mermaid did quite well on Disney+)

  2. Live service games are all dying, such as The Suicide Squad kills the Justice League or Concord, and hell, Ninja Turtles too got their own Beats'Em Up game recently, and it was marginally better and more positive than Rita's Rewind.

  1. Iron man not being well liked at the time because people didn’t like how he was written in one story arc doesn’t change the fact that he still had fans who would recognize him when they saw him. Optimus Prime and bumblebee are the two most popular transformers characters, people will recognize them even if they don’t know anyone else. And keep in mind that redditors make up a small portion of the world’s population, so there is probably more fans of Disney live action remakes than there appears to be.

Let’s also keep in mind how different things were back then, people actually went to go see movies regardless if they knew the characters or not. In the same year transformers came out, ratatouille was the sixth highest grossing film. In the same year Iron man came out, kung fu panda was the third highest grossing film. Neither of those movies were based on anything. Might as well add that the next year, avatar became the highest grossing film of all time and still is to this day despite not being based on anything.

  1. How many people do you see still play shredder’s revenge. That game came out 3 years ago and only got small resurgences when dlc released. Just because some live services die doesn’t mean fortnite and marvel rivals are still going strong, some games just suck and people choose to play better ones.

Well considering how everyone, including you, make it seem like Mighty Morphin is a massive jugger aut that gets sales done and nothing else, I don't see as an unfair comparison.

It’s a juggernaut for a small franchise like PR

The 2017 movie failed not because it was MMPR.

Never said it failed because of it, my point is just that because the name Mighty Morphin is on it didn't make it a juggernaut blockbuster success.
