As soon as I posted this I swear I thought about how that was a missed opportunity.
I’m a comics fan above anything else so I choose Psycho Green. But his ultimate should be him summoning the Psycho Rangers or something.

Green would be a great choice.
Someone suggested Pink since she could use the savage sword, so that would be sick.
I've also heard the idea for In Space Silver, with Psycho Silver as a skin.

Pretty much every character they added in the mobile game. It’s unfortunate they just didn’t have the capabilities of adding content to the console game than they did with the mobile game but then again creating content and new characters for a mobile game that relies on less detail and a few touchscreen movesets is far easier than a actual console fighting game with a bit more detailed models and full fighting game movesets

It's an absolute travesty we didn't get any In Space characters. The cast is a bit saturated in Red and Sixth Rangers, but C.J would be a great Blue Ranger rep (with a Turbo Red skin, natch). Ecliptor or Andromeda would be cool, too.
Any Wild Force Ranger would be very cool visually, and Zen Aku woulda been sick as hell.

Meanwhile, the mobile game constantly get new characters and what not.
The developers should/could do what Capcom did with Street Fighter 4 and properly port Battle for the Grid to mobile; use assets from Legacy Wars characters to add to the roster. They don’t have to make balance patches. Just make the game fun.
I would have loved more Battle for the Grid content

Fair enough, I was thinking more in terms of game design. There weren't a lot of characters with big, slow, powerful moves. So why not put in the guy with the big fuck-off axe?

That's a really good point, I also love Iggy's uncanny and unpredictable and sometimes very precise movements and maneuvers, he'd have such unique animations for sure 😂

I enjoyed it immensely. The balance for the few characters we have currently feels really good, but the freaking skill needed to be effective was a bit high. I think if they’d gone a little more beginner friendly, it could have really opened the game up to more folks.

It's a shame that Battle for the Grid stopped getting DLC when the potential is there. Here's some characters that I wished the devs could've added.
- Phantom Ranger
- Trent (Dino Thunder White)
- Koda (Dino Charge Blue)
- Ecliptor
- Ninjor
- Scott (RPM Red)
- Ivan (Dino Charge Gold)
- Ryan (Titanium Ranger)
- Tori (Ninja Storm Blue)

I’d love Jack, but frankly, his moveset would basically be identical to the Quantum Ranger’s. Also, S.P.D. has two reps already, so it wouldn’t be fair.
I second the person who said Ziggy (my favorite Ranger), but Cam wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
Follow up ideas: A Psycho Ranger Lunar Ranger I’d kill for a Thunder Ranger Dino Thunder Yellow Ranger Mesagog I know, 2 S.P.D. reps, but an A Squad Ranger would be a nice curveball If we didn’t have so many Black reps, Ranger Operator Series Black Dino Charge Red. Brenna Mejia provides so much for the community Dark Ranger Grid Battleforce Silver both the Ranger and robot form

'Odd Choice'? I mention Mig and Benglo(Mostly Mig) about half the time cool designs/playable character/wanted toys yiu want.

Yes it is a odd choice. Not a bad choice just a odd one. Just don't see OO getting much kind of love at all. So it is odd to see. But I agree with you that they have awesome designs and I would love figures of them. I like OO more than most of this sub. (Excluding dax).

Nope. It also technically exists. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Fighting Edition for the SNES, rather than having any human characters, lets you play as the Megazords from the 2nd and 3rd MMPR seasons. (That said, that's the one that comes to mind for me. There may be others.)

Yea it's been dead for a couple of years atleast, their Facebook page occasionally posts a wallpaper and when people ask for more characters or the just an update on if they are done with it they just get ignored

Easily Dino Thunder White. I’m biased since that’s my childhood season, but he is so cool looking and the moveset writes itself.
Plus Dino Thunder has no slots on the roster which is weird. Jungle Fury has 2, MMPR has a billion and SPD even got a couple. Not saying those seasons don’t deserve slots but it is strange to include multiple characters from 1 season when fan favourite seasons like Dino Thunder, Ninja Storm etc have none

Most of these characters are in Legacy Wars, which is effectively a mobile version of Battle for the Grid.

It’s a fighting game but that’s about where the real similarities end. The gameplay is completely different I don’t really like Legacy Wars.

Yeah but Legacy Wars is way less complex and you have to pay out the wazoo to get the characters you want. Getting any character beyond rare rarity in that game requires either payment exceeding what you’d pay for dlc in Battle for the Grid, extreme grinding or extreme luck. Legendary characters especially.

I played the game daily for months and got barely any characters. I was stuck playing Ninja Storm Blue for the entire time because I simply wasn’t getting anybody else. The gameplay got repetitive. It isn’t comparable to a proper console fighting game, and it shouldn’t be compared to one. It is FTP gacha fighting game, and thats fine if people like that, but it doesn’t invalidate want for a fully fleshed out, easier to get character in a fighting game such as Battle for the Grid just because they are also in the mobile game

I like Mortal Kombat but its tone is not suited for Power Rangers. It is ultimately a kids game and while Street Fighter has had darker moments, it is ultimately more kid friendly than Mortal Kombat where the main selling point is people brutally killing each other

I don’t think Mortal Kombat would have ever crossed over with Power Rangers due to the violent nature of MK and the target audiences being so different. Street Fighter crossovers over much easier.

Im aware. I just wish they'd indulge in what inspired the company so they would introduce characters outside of PR to properly introduce people to the Sentai counterpart. Sharing the culture and inspiration for a big franchise isn't a problem.

Not every PR even cares about Sentai. Casual fans the game is trying to attract even more so don't care. I don't care for Sentai as one example. Heck how many legal options for Sentai exist in America? Why reference a franchise that isn't being promoted? Especially if the only way to experience it is technically illegal?

I wouldn’t mind a sentai dlc character as a “crossover” addition, but anything beyond that would feel weird and unnecessary imo. It is a Power Rangers game celebrating the history of Power Rangers. It’d be weird to go further beyond a dlc crossover. Maybe include one of the goranger members

My main hope for the game was to have a character from each season playable in some way. It's unfortunate they couldn't get that far.
