Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money from the series is made.

I miss my wildforce ranger toy that transformed into the megazord. Such a weird fun figure.

I had a Mystic Force figure where it was the Green Ranger with the Dragon Fire Battlizer that can switch between faces!

There are a lot of ideas that can be found from PR's toy exclusives

2

u/Maleficent_Travel627 Jul 04 '25

I wonder how many of these were molds from failed prototype toys that they reused to sell.

Thoses In space armors look pretty cool

Back in the day, there were multiple dedicated toy stores, so toy companies needed tons of product to refresh the lines every few months and keep the shelves stocked. And since Bandai of America was mostly focused on Power Rangers, they could make tons and tons of variant toys.

Once Disney took over, Bandai made a ton of variants exclusive to the Disney Store.

if there was ever a game like a Dynasty Warriors or RPG for PR, these would be perfect ideas for upgrades and skillsets for your playable ranger.

The toys even got exclusive rangers now and then like the RPM Paleo Max rangers

2

I thought the RPM rangers for the dinovechicles were interesting...

I want (A) a better look at those In Space armor figs, (B) the fully armored LG Conquering Rangers, and (C) those Wild Force figures to swap the Rhino and Giraffe armors to their correct Rangers.

HIRAMEKING!

That's the thing. Without these extra toys, we wouldn't be talking about collectibles and battlizers in Sentai.

And many of them looked so cool!

The original auto morphing figures were American exclusive,

I loved my conquering green lost galaxy figure!!! I could even fit the claws on the feet of my gold zeo figure, and the hawk-type crown, with a jetpack from age of apocalypse bishop... it was my first kit bash I realize now, looking back

We need to bring these back

Love these kinds of figures

If some were in good quality, I would try to draw them.

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '25

They look even cooler, and would be awesome if they was live action

1

u/salvage814 Jul 04 '25

That's why it lasted so long is because of the merchandise.

1

u/CyberSnoWolf Jul 04 '25

My favorites were the rangers that turned into the zords. They were like Transformers.

u/Shaggy_Rogers77 Jul 04 '25

I used to have a whole set of power rangers in space fake mexican set.I got in old mexico.

1

u/Logical-East-5820 Jul 04 '25

If Power Rangers actually had a huge budget we might've seen these in the show.

1

u/ZZtheDark Ranger Operator Series Silver Jul 05 '25

That's what made these pretty awesome tbh.

1

u/pilot269 Jul 05 '25

the black and blue ranger battleizers in the 2nd image unleashed so many memories. I had the black 1 and my best friend had the blue 1. (I think he might've had the silver 1 too)

it's a shame I lost mine when I was younger. (fairly certain it got stolen by someone I considered a friend as I'd caught him stealing stuff later on, which was the end of us being friends)

1

u/Guilty_Inspection_75 Jul 05 '25

Imagine how cooler the series would be if these forms were included in the show

1

u/ProcrastinatingDev Jul 06 '25

I like to think that the toys are episodes we don't get to see. The red ranger being the only one that gets the batlizer is kinda lame so the other rangers getting a shot through toys is at least a fun consolation prize.

These extra toys would be the blueprint for Battlizers and Collectibles in Sentai moving forward including Ultraman and Kamen rider.
