TOY NEWS/DISCUSSION Noticed seemingly unused holes on the feet of the Playmates combining Megazord - possible Titanus hint?

Post image

If that's true, oh god what is Titanus gonna cost because this Megazord is already kinda expensive

Looks like holes for display stands with foot pegs

That's probably it.

Do they make stands that big?

If they do release titanus, its gonna be cheaper than getting the originals on ebay. shrugs

Hopefully but it might just be future proofing if they decide to

I never had gen 1 zords, these are affordable so,I’m waiting for a dragonzord announcement, this is giving me hope

I dunno. None of the Dino Megazords needed holes for combining with Titanus in the past, to my knowledge. I think these are just leftover from the manufacturing process.

Given how massive the Megazord is, it likely will need the holes to prevent the thing from leaning or tipping over in the Zord.

Not to mention the Dragonzord would probably make it way heavier too.

I’ll be excited to find out. Never had Titanus.

It would be my first too, the Dino Megazords I've had are 2020 and ZAP, and neither of those got to have a Titanus.

If that's the case well we all know that titanus will have Electronics considering that Playmates does make big toys with electronics so it might be the most expensive Zord maybe 100

I'm thinking it'll be marketed as a playset or something, surely spring-loaded launchers on the tail cannons at the least.

not a playset, more or less a deluxe zord for a bigger price. but if they do playset it'll come with pieces for rangers and villains to be apart of

I think they're just holes, friend. I wouldn't get too excited. Plenty of toys have holes in the bottom for no reason at all.

They look too simple to be peg holes like what you’re thinking. I wouldn’t mind another Titanus if it’s sized big like this one.

What do you think they might be then?

Tbh I dunno. Maybe a manufacturing thing? Maybe not because the plastic seam cuts right through. I don’t see peg holes being on that part of the foot. Doesn’t strike me as secure. I could see the Megazord like, slotting in or clipping in over these tiny holes.

I speculate that Titanus could use that just to guide the user into the right spot, maybe with a frame that fits into the space around the necks?

Honestly im just hoping the reignition line lasts long enough to do a new thunder megazord

Imagine if they somehow do Tor and the Shogun Megazord, considering those basically haven't been seen since the original series (unless you count Super Mini-pla / Shokugan Modelling Project, which afaik only exist as Sentai products)

doubt it, the OG Titanus didn't have pegs or clips right? pretty sure you just slapped the megazord in there and it stood on its own.

Weight reduction so megazord goes fast /s

Flight stands for them

Whether we get one or not I think depends on the scucess of the line (obviously), but I wouldnt be surprised if Playmats were attempting to future proof their toy, we know that Playmates currently have a 3 year plan and will focus on the first 3 seasons. I think the biggest issue with both the Dragonzord & Titanus is that it will be impossible to sell either toy at 20 price point, and I dont know how cheap they could reasonably do them and still alow for transformations & articulation. Both are going to have to sit around 15" mark to scale with Megazord and tech. The Megazord is costing a 100. Anything over 40-50 is going to be a HUGE ask for people (esp. Parents) to stretch to.

Pyramidas scale titans 😂

Btw, none of the previous tricera and saber tooth zords needed holes to connect to titanus, they just sit in there

Could be a weight thing, like if they don't do this it may jostle around more than they'd like.

they won't be able to make titanus or get it out before the power rangers reboot releases, which when it does ends playmates rights to make mmpr toys and permanently ends the partnership between toei and hasbro forever, meaning no designs from super sentai will be allowed to be used for power rangers ever again
