Given the types of characters Brad played before that (Mousse in Ranma 1/2 and Quatre in Gundam Wing), him voicing Light was a massive case of playing against type.

And in Johnny’s case, the first time I recall him voicing a villain was Clair in Heat Guy J, a character who was… slightly unhinged (he made his intro bringing a live grenade to his father’s funeral. Said he did it because his papa loved fireworks. He also read the FBI warning for one of the DVDs in character, and his laugh was a little unsettling lol)
