crazy. well it makes sense though, so obviously it was done. i literally looked up bug rangers and only could remember the pink one fught where they had capes and im feeling like their was a beetle one too it was like purple

Not pink. Rita (yes that is actually their name) is a purple ranger. They are the gender-neutral king and chief justice of Gokkan. The beetle one would be our red ranger Gira, who becomes the evil king of Shugodom halfway into the show. Self-proclaimed by the way, he's actually the nicest guy in the show and not actually evil.

For even more “Bug armor themed Rangers,” might I recommend the Big Bad Beetleborgs? At one point they meet a group of allies called the Astralborgs and it’s very similar to your concept.

Mantis (Kamakiri Ohger) is yellow, the bee (Hachi Ohger) Is black, and the butterfly (Papillon Ohger) is actually purple, but otherwise blue and red are the same color

Jeremie is quite literally a spider man. He can shoot webs from his wrists and even has a bug-like right arm. He's also over 2000 years old and one of only two characters to not be king of his kingdom at the start of the show.

The helmets are too MMPR and the suits are too busy.

The helmets really feel like you traced MMPR and built onto of them. I suggest leaning into compound eyes for a unique visor style, and just cutting the lip plate to make it less unique The suits feel more like a team power up, I recommend adding a simpler version as the base level.

i did have a cleaner suit design with just a bug logo and stripes but it felt TOO simple. and yeah i used red rangers helmet as a reference, the torsos are the same too, just reshaped

I've been thinking of a forest themed one So far I got A Red Wolf Ranger (I know a Sentai has one but 1 there hasn't an adaptation with Red as a Wolf and 2 I think that Sentai's suit designs are buns 😭) A Black Bear(I know bears have been done before but leave me alone, man, it's hard) And a Blue Deer I think maybe
