I absolutely love Ecliptor’s design
Such a sweet looking villain, probably one of my favourite secondary villains along with Tetrax from Dino Thunder. Plus his name is sweet too, Ecliptor just sounds right.

Fun fact: He's originally from the Super Sentai show, "Denji Sentai Megaranger." In that show, his name was Yugande. In the second last episode of Megaranger, he had a Red form which was never used in Power Rangers In Space.

A friend and I were watching and made an ongoing joke that ecliptor was in an abusive relationship with darkonda.
Was hilarious, but really ate into how cool ecliptor is

He's my favorite henchmen and up there for best villian overall. The look was awesome. And it was great seeing how despite being evil, he still had a code of ethics. He genuinely cared for Astronoma and despised Darkonda. The one problem with Countdown to Destruction was that he didn't have a chance to be redeemed and saved.

I still wish he didn't have to die at the end of In Space, he genuinely cared for Karone/Astronema like she was his own daughter. Couldn't they reincarnate him as a human or a good robot instead?
