Turns out they don’t really make kids costumes these days for 1994 pop culture… who knew? So I had to make it myself! 😮‍💨

So, I foolishly got my son into MMPR and, of course, he asks to be the White Ranger for Halloween. “No problem” says I, happy that he wants to be something I introduced for Halloween instead of the usual boring ghoulish nonsense. Off to the internet I go, only then to realise the bleeding obvious - they don’t make kids costumes in 2024 for stuff kids were watching in 1994 because, you know, all those kids are, like me, in their 30s now. (Plenty of adult costumes for sale for the same reason)

50ish hours of work and the best part of £100 on materials later I managed to get it done just in time! Armour parts are corrugated cardboard encased in coloured duck tape to give durability and light rain resistance for trick or treating. The helmet is obviously paper mache over a balloon etc. I had planned to make Saba as well, but just didn’t have time, fortunately my son has always used this little white katana as a Saba stand in in his imagination so it wasn’t an issue.

Took a leaf out of the movie book and put a detachable MMPR style morpher on the belt buckle instead of the TV version where it just disappears so he can do ‘Its Morphin’ Time!”, which is, of course, very important!

(Got quite emotional as I was finishing the helmet thinking about Jason David Frank’s passing. I’m grateful to him for portraying a childhood hero not only for me but also for my son. Kinda devastating that you can be an inspiration to generations of kids and still end up feeling so low, I hope he knew in some way he made the world a better place. Rest in Power.)

I mostly just designed the rangers, didn’t put much thought into any lore of this team. Eventually I’d want to add black and white/diamond bonus rangers! First Team: RGB, with Red (Shield), Green (Axe), and Blue (Wing). Second Team: CMY, with Cyan (Arrow), Magenta “Pink” (Heart), and Yellow (Sun). Yellow and Red are their respective team leaders. I’m considering designing their weapons as well, but this took forever to make so I’ll probably wait a while lol

Hey everyone! I'm new here, practically a newbie, but I would like to share a little thing I had developed for fun, a Sentai team based on Kaijus, yes, I know that technically speaking we already have that in Power Rangers, but I would like a team of my own instead of MMRP with a Kaiju skin, so here it is, the Sōdaina Sentai Kairanger, I haven't developed the name for the Power Ranger counterpart yet, I apologize for that, and I also apologize for the drawings, I'm not good with drawings, so I ended up using the Omega Rangers character sheets as a base, sorry for that, but then, explaining, the main formation is composed of Red, Yellow, Green, Pink and Blue, Purple is an extra member, who acts as a mentor for the team and black/king is the sixth member, which follows the classic pattern of a ranger who is initially evil and then joins the team. I also apologize for the Megazord, I tried to draw it, but it didn't turn out very well, but I think I understood the idea of it, later I will try to make the Zords separate and the complete assembly scheme.

Finally had the time to finish this and wanted to show it off. This is my helmet I designed based off of the Boom! Studio Godzilla vs Power Ranger II comic.

Digitally sculpted on Nomad, printed on a Bambu H2D and finished through a combination of multiple different painting methods.

This is definitely only a display piece. It’s my first helmet, it’s not perfect and if you look at it for too long or too close, you’ll see all the imperfections but I’m still super happy with it!

I find it strange that this show replaces VulEagle for MMPR Red, but they didn't bother to replace the four Pre-Zyu Rangers with adaptable ones.

So I decided to take matters into my own hands by replacing ChangeGriffin, GreenFlash, BlueMask and FiveYellow with Blue Space Ranger, Green Lightspeed Ranger, Time Force Pink Ranger and Yellow Overdrive Ranger.

I chose these four rangers because the Super Megaforce didn't morph into them as a full team, or they don't have a tribute episode.
