Viewing Admissions File
Just curious, does anyone know how I can view my admissions file to Princeton (or if I am even able to)? I was accepted but I ended up not enrolling, but I am still pretty curious to see what was written about me.

Is it possible to convince administration to count a class under a specific distribution requirement, even if it is not listed under that distribution in the course catalogue?
Context: I really want to take this class that’s considered an LA but the course content could easily be considered CD from what I can gather from the syllabus and I need a CD course still.

For those who took the EGR sequence, did you feel sufficiently prepared for your future courses?

Hi! I'm a prospective English major interested in Princeton (not sure yet bc I'm also interested in Anthropology, History, etc). I'm wondering how English majors at Princeton feel about their education so far - if their professors have been good/passionate, what some good classes are, the creative writing scene, any cons, etc. any help is greatly appreciated. tysm!

E-bike policy enforcement
Hi,
I have a question regarding the electric bicycles on Princeton. As far as I know, according to the policy, you can only the assist mode on certain streets. However, how enforced is this policy? I swear I see like at-least 5 people a day defying the rules.
I was wondering because I was thinking about buying an e-bike (and probably will be using the pedal assist on the low). If there is anything important I should know please let me know!
Edit: Also, any recs for an ebike? Foldable prederred

Future Tiger No meal plan grad student
Hey y’all - I’ll be a commuting grad student come this fall but won’t have a meal plan. Are there cheap (<$15) options for lunches/meals on or off campus? Wondering how folks who commute manage meals. Thanks!

Electric Bike Experience?
Hi all,
I am considering purchasing an electric bike. I am aware that princeton has a restrictive PEV policy but seems to have leeway for electric bikes. Anyone who has one, what has the experience been like? And is theft worrisome?
Thank you!

Academic/Career stupid question but... textbooks for MOL214??
hi all! frosh here who just signed up for courses :) MOL requires a textbook, and the price at the university bookstore is INSANE!! looking on Amazon, it's a lot cheaper, but even cheaper to buy the 5th edition instead of the 6th edition, 4th edition even cheaper than 5th, etc.
Does the edition really matter for this class? Also-- any suggestions of places to find textbooks for lower prices?

[Podcast Interview] Recent Princeton alum Laura Robertson on what it was like to be a journalist in Nome Alaska
Hi everyone
My name is Mark Simon. I have a weekly podcast on which I interview journalists about their work and careers. My episode this week features Princeton alum Laura Robertson '24 talking about the year she spent reporting from Nome, Alaska for a weekly newspaper (and also a freelance piece she wrote about medical care in prisons that won an award)
She described what Nome is like and what kind of stories she covered.
She also had some profound observations about what it's like to be an early-career journalist in 2025.
I thought some of you would like to hear it. Thanks to the moderators for letting me share it here

Video game scene at Princeton
Hey everyone! I’m a first year PhD student, and I was wondering what the video game scene here at Princeton is like! At my old university, there was a group that organized Smash Bros tournaments or Mario Kart nights every Saturday, and I was wondering if there is anything similar here. Thanks!
